I guess politics AND message boards

produce strange bedfellows. Sec and Buff are back over at Espn railing on about the injustices of the world over here and buddy buddy, now I've seen everything!!!!!:)

Hey buddy! looks like the Ministers Bid - Racketeer exacta is a cinch in teh feature, bet early and often.
Also, bet hard on the first time Lisa lewis from Bond trainer switch horse in the 4th who is also making his first turf start. Precise End's love the grass, and his last workout which was on the grass, was a "tad" quicker than it shows in the DRF, if you know what I mean!

They will be back. I still look at that board every once in awhile, but it has become really bad. Not so much because of the trolls anymore but just because there is not a lot people over there that know what they are talking about.

As for Belmont today, I disagree about your bet being "a cinch." I like Minister's Bid over Flashy Bull and/or Forest Phantom. I would play those exactas and trifectas.

Well I like that bet a whole lot but good luck to you.

Is there something in particular you like about Racketeer?

Yes!! he showed a lot of talent and speed this past winter before not running a step in Illinois. I tend to throw out races on horses that are very bad when they are races run at a track they shipped to. Lots of horses don't react to shipping well. LOTS! So if I see a bad race thats out of line figure wise below what the horse had been running at a track he shipped to, I toss it. They then tried him on turf which he didnt appear to really like as much as he liked dirt but the 2nd and 1st place winners came back to win and hit the board next time out in a stakes race the day before the Belmont Stakes. I alos like horses who are off the grass. 4 works since then should have him dead fit, as most Frankel horses are, and a return to his race on the dirt against Ap Warrior and point Determined will certainly be good enough to run 2nd or win here. Ministers Bid however, is a monster. His debut race was the kind that just makes you shake your head, and his works since then have been scary.

Well we agree about Minister's Bid.
I was at the Illinois Derby and considered betting this Frankel horse in some exotics in that one and decided against it. Boy was I glad I did. He faded badly in the stretch against less than stellar opponents. Even though that was a G2 race and this one at Belmont is an allowance race, the competition seems similiar (one really good horse and a bunch of decent plodders). Maybe you are right and he just didn't like the track, or maybe he just doesn't like 9f. I would not be SHOCKED if he got a piece here, but I definitely like the other two horses more.

SCUDSBROTHER 06-22-2006 09:20 AM

I notice there is a horse in that 8th race that wants to go one turn, and wants to close into a real fast pace.He won't do anything if they don't go fast up front. That would be this "Elements " horse. Any chance they go too hot in here, and he gets in the exacta?

Exceller 06-22-2006 09:29 AM

Looks like Ministers Bid at even money. As for the exacta, any horse in there could get up for second.

Hey Oracle, you made me think a little by this post. We often hear that horses are "off form." I think it is safe to assume that most people on this board knows what "off form" means. But can something like shipping a horse, or running the horse on a different surface cause a horse to go "off form?" And if a horse is off form, what do you need to see from that horse in order to wager om him again?

Biscuits n' Gravy people gunna get whoever they want in there (again.)Washington will be a Blue State whether you vote, or not.The only states where it is important to vote for the Pres. are the close ones.Majority rule B.S... Probably the primary election will be rapped up before it gets to Washington, too.

Well, Old Blocky just told me to drop dead, what a nice guy. It looks like him and Buffy are getting along fine. Wonder how long it will be before he grows tired of posting to himself and comes back here...

Minister Bid

Over here on vacation with family on Big Island in Hawaii....
No race tracks to report in our 50th state but am finally internet connected.

Have bet early (around 5:53 am) and often on Minister Bid.....
Hopefully will pay for some of the expenses which with my wife and children are starting to rack up.

Aloha,

PSH

Everyone is laying claim to my horse, I posted about Minister's Bid back in the middle of April and now everyone is on the bandwagon. I want everyone to know he's my horse....

just kidding, I get a big kick out of when people lay claim to a horse that they don't own and go on and on about them. Anyone watching that race would have known he's going to be a monster(but, I did post 1st about him, lol)...

LMFAO. Block will post everything the DRF has to offer - the three other regulars will post something like "Good to see" or "about time that horse is back" then yourmomchoked.... will make a comment about "yer momz said dat last nite" and then the thread will slip into the abyss

I heard about this horse over the winter. He has been the talk for almost a year now.

Pointg5 06-22-2006 11:05 AM
