What if you were having a DT.....

..... dinner party and you had to invite 7 posters...

Who would you invite and why?

Elaborate as little or as much as you want.....

Anything goes, save one rule..... you can't invite anyone you know in real life.

Who wants to go first? :D

Bigsmc 03-09-2007 04:43 AM

Kasept - Thee Man.
BTW - I'd like to pick his brain on a few things and he'll get Scavs wound up.
Ateamstupid - Loved his Spa Diary last year.
Scav - Been talking too long on the internet without actually meeting.
Bigrun -Same as above.
Cajun - Gotta have a lady at the table.
Pillow Pants - The wild card.

Tough to keep it only at seven, there are several honorable mentions:

The great Cannon Shell
Rudeboyelvis
-BT-
Magic Idol
Sent to Stud
Hooves......

Didn't mean to leave GPK off...since there is no room at the table, he can park cars and serve drinks.

I kid because I care Bro.

Doesn't that happen (you know where!) at Saratoga for 36 days during July, August and September??? :D

Great question, but its hard to whittle it down to just seven. Oh well, I can always have more dinner parties!

I would invite;

Grits and Randall - They could debate betting strategies over several bottles of wine. (or perhaps it could be a civil war reenactment?)

Magic Idol and merasmag - well this would just liven things up I think.

Satans Twin and The Indomitable DrugS - they're invited because they are tied on my list for funniest all-time post and they would definitely add the required humour.

Phalaris1913 - she would add the historical perspective and make for great conversation I think.

Not sure how to interpret the rule for "knowing" people, but I don't like it, so I'm still using people I met in Florida because outside of Jamie, I don't think I really "know" them :)

I'd have:

Byk
Andy
Arl. Jim
Genuine Risk
Jamie
Steve Dellinger
Pointgiven1985

It would be a heavenly mismash of horses, politics, lots of drinking, and personalities.

Well for seven of us at least. Someone's gotta serve the food and refill drinks.

I just hope the next "what if" thread isn't "What if you were in a steam room...."

Not bad at all... you've got me beat. Haha

Sightseek 03-09-2007 10:17 AM

Phalaris

Grits 03-10-2007 08:33 AM

I wouldn't have a dinner party, I'd have an EVENT. Everyone would receive an invitation because I'd abhor the possibility of excluding anyone. In a public sense, that would be, indeed, harmful.

If I wanted interest, there'd be only one guest, and that would follow such an Event, more than likely.

She said your not on the list cause you are serving the drinks

randallscott35 03-10-2007 10:08 AM

This is tough b/c there are too many people I'd like to meet on here....I've also met many of the regulars on here.

But from the ones I haven't met for various reasons why:

Scuds--need to meet a Cali player
Playa--I've battled this guy for years on Mineshaft
Dahoss--seems like on the nicest people on the board, Switzeland
Arljim--seems cool
Seattle--just to make sure he exists
Scavs--notice how many Chi guys are on here; that's b/c I have met the east coast contingent
Cajun-have to include a chick on this list(which is why i left off Baletto)
Somer--the old timer needs you to kiss his ring

That's 8 and I guaratee I've left off some good ones, but that's off the top of my head.

lol randy youll probaly be the only 1 to pick me, 7 is a odd number but anyways brian is the only person from here ive ever met in person and thats after knowing some of you people 5+ years, well ive met the infamous john frank(rembrandt) but i doubt any care bout that LOL. should have met pm and jp since i ran my horse at their respective tracks more than once but it never came to fruition

oracle-just gotta LOL!
papa lazarou(dont even know his name on here)- might just have to biatch slap him, slams america but desires to be american more than anything else in the world!
randy- although we go back and forth seems we are similiar in alotta ways
steve- hard to say anything negative bout the guy, plus his knowledge of the chi makes me like him even more
ateam-probaly the only thug on here besides myself
buffy- genuine horse lover
somer&so cal- the 2 espn originals so theyre coupled in a entry, if theyre involved i easily imagine alotta alcohol involved during dinner and then later at a strip club, both guys im proud to call friends along with many others.

i hate really limiting it to just 7 cuz there isnt any1 i wouldnt mind meeting that ive met on here(and espn) over the years
