An observation

This is unusual as I've not seen a website like this one, certainly not a horseracing site, where threads . . . any thread, any subject matter posted, can go south, can go down the toilet so quickly, by posters whose interruptions contribute nothing to the topic; but instead, provide one liners of sexual innuendo that is absolutely worthless as hell, except to those in need of getting a room, or a partner.

Am I new here? Yes, pretty much. Am I being bold to state this? Probably. Freedom of speech and all that, sure. But damn hijacking threads posted at a website so that one has to drudge through 5 pages of crap to come back to the topic at hand.

Esoteric central is a fine place, but does one feel they will not garner enough attention in that folder?

Y'all carry on. I'll keep tryin' to drudge thru.

*GPK stares at Cajungator*

8 minutes from now and it will be 24 hours since my last sexual innuendo and attempted thread hijacking.

I think I deserve a round of applause for the effort.:D

*Stands up and applauds loudly.*

Grits,
You won't find a better group of people than the ones here. Fun and informative. Players tend to be pretty liberal with their comments as gamblers often do....I'll paste the thread about things most board members have in common so you can see the type of people you will find here...You will enjoy your time here.....http://derbytrail.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=common

We are just one big happy family, right Rand?

So many strong bonds have been formed from here (and the old ESPN board). I guess maybe sometimes we should be more "sensitive" to new posters. Just like it when newbies earn a little respect before calling others out.

Oh no, we aren't a happy family. Dysfunctional at best. But it doesnt mean the people aren't 90% good at heart. Therefore its a good group.

Coach Pants 03-07-2007 10:28 PM

Sorry we're not living up to your high standards, Tits...err Grits.

Right, there are some. But I'm only close to a few on here in actuality and see them 3 times a year or so....Its kind of a neat online relationship if you think about it....I don't talk to my best friends everyday, but I talk to this haphazard group 10 times a day. So we are connected. Even to Andy.

No picture, PP? I'm highly disappointed.

Blame Kev. He is like the Taliban on here when hijacking.

I'm trying to be a better poster for Grits, Cajun. She brings alot to the table and I don't want to lose her.

Hoss...if i'm not mistaken the thread she's complaining about is the "buy a horse at auction..monkeys fly out of your ass" thread. Totally ridiculous thread considering a handful, at most, on this board will and/or could be in that situation one day.

It's ok to dream but that doesn't make for a great thread IMHO.

J....not wrong at all to say that bro. You feel how you feel.

I freely admit I am more guilty than anyone else...old habits die hard I guess. FOR YOU...I will make an effort to tone it down.
