Looks like the Haskell will be his next start. Here is the link to the article.

That is a good spot for him. He has to win outside CA before I will be impressed with him.

I think that they are nuts. So they gave the horse 4 weeks off after a year of training . BD looked like he lost alot of weight and was not the same horse he was in California. Why press the horse to prove he can win outside of California so soon. Let him have some time to finish growing up. I think Hendricks needs to learn how to ship and win from Bobby Frankel.

I guess we'll find out if he's ready...

He looked horrible in the Preakness. I hope that he's put his weight back on and is feeling good.

Maybe so but this horse has loads of talent. The ultimate goal is the BC. The horse had some really tough luck in the two TC races. Hendricks says he is ready. I hope so. Because if he is ready, he will be a player.

I think his 4 weeks off is just about right. I have never been a huge BD fan, but I think the Haskell could be a good spot for him. He had some bad racing luck in the TC races, and I don't think he needed a HUGE layoff.
They got him some rest, and they won't have to rush his training for the Haskell. The race is 9f which will probably end up being his best distance, and depending on who goes here, and who goes in the Jim Dandy, I think he has a legitimate shot at winning it.

Brother Derek will win a big race somewhere this year. Watch him steal a race like the BC Classic when everyone forgets about him.

Ha! Wouldn't that be the way!

Well like I said, I think he fits well in the Haskell, but the BC Classic? I doubt if the horse even makes it to that race, and I frankly wouldn't give him any shot to beat the best in the world going 10f.

I think he should stay in Cali. There are plenty of races out there for him. Baffert is the best in shipping from Cali to other tracks. Derek could beat up on Point Determined and AP Warrior all year until the classic. Why ship this horse.

I don't know if it will be a long enough rest, but I like this track for the horse.

They might want to worry about Sinister Minister

Yep. Sinister Minister is a wierd horse. However, I expect him to fire another race like he did in the BG Stakes at Keeneland. I know Keeneland has the huge speed bias, but speed bias or not, that dude was flat out moving that day. I just think he needs some more time to mature, and I am very glad that Bob Baffert didn't send him to any of the other TC races. The horse needed the rest. My prediction is that he comes back to monster form again.
