Ask the Pilot

I'm home from an NYU student film shoot (actually pretty fun, as the location was a lovely little toy store in CT and I could look at Breyers in between takes), and while unwinding, reading the news, I enjoyed Salon's "Ask the Pilot" this week, which answers, among other things, why people don't clap upon landing anymore (remember that, anyone?). Here's the link; it was very entertaining, informative reading this week:

Good story Genuine Risk.
I never gave a clap on landing, but I had a friend that got something like it after landing on a runway that gave him a moment of joy. Thank goodness for penecilln (sp).
Clap isn't anything to applaud for!
My friend remembers...
Happy landings!

Sadly, my husband is in Orlando until September, playing a neurotic clown fish. But, my friend Angelika will be with me and she's A) delightful and B) as horse crazy as I.
