Sharp Susan is no worse than the third horse in the 8th race....and maybe the best horse.

randallscott35 02-18-2007 12:43 PM

Steve, I liked Tinquilco yesterday at SA and couldn't get down on the horse...Know you liked this one a little. Hope you hit it.

Andy's right.. Made change..

I think the reins broke on Sharp Susan in her last.

Yup..

Coach Pants 02-18-2007 03:28 PM

Thank you, BTW, thank you.

That was a sensational ride by Cornelio Velasquez. She was literally in trouble every step of the way and he never panicked and kept her running smoothly. The seem opened into the stretch and she cruised. Most riders would have steadied away and blown a race.

Lobster dinner tonight I assume?

It's easy to be the Monday morning QB here but Corny gave Sharp Susan a great trip. The 7/2 odds seems like a gift too.

He really rode like a star.

Good work Andrew.. Of course I swapped her for the Pletcher thing that ran 2nd.. Doh!

Looked this morning and noted move by Jolley to Guidrey on the #4.. ('H'Wood' something..) Didn't use but that was probably a mistake. The Guid seems to be going 'Jeffersons' on every mount lately...

Did I hear Collmus say Manny Cruz has 4 wins today? Manny Cruz the jockey he meant, right? (Not Manny Cruz the maitre'd at Joe's Stone Crab...)

blackthroatedwind 02-18-2007 04:14 PM

You mean Manny Cruz who rode the 14-1 shot I unloaded on that lost by a nose? That Manny Cruz?

Coach Pants 02-18-2007 04:24 PM

I played Starlet Sky in the finale.

blackthroatedwind 02-18-2007 04:28 PM

Manny Cruz won four races today.....I needed him twice....and lost by two noses for a serious amount of money.

Of course his ride in the finale was as bad as a rider can ride.

Coach Pants 02-18-2007 04:31 PM

I loved the opening quarter. Just loved it.

Pat,

More than welcome... Happy someone caught it!! Probably looking at AQU carryover for tomorrow. Might as well do some GP too. Having a good weekend there. Haven't looked at the card though at all...
