Playing Australia tonight?

Just a heads up... Corey Brown is out (something about a horse rearing and falling on him... hope he's okay).

Parables, Centennial Park and Graceful Anna have yet to have their riders announced.

Tim Clark is now on Anise, Rodney Quinn has the Juveniles mount and Clark again on Brazen Babe.

Poor Corey!

I'm playing and running the production table. Should be an exciting night. I'm hearing that the money is pouring in on Dubleanny in Race 3 from Flemington. Looks like a sure thing.

Thanks Moodwalker (miss you!) and missed the 3rd but this is what I have...

Flemington
R6, tri, 13/2,7/2,4,7,11,15
R8, exacta, 6/2,4

Warwick
R5, tri box 1,2,7,9
R6...

I had every intention of putting Centennial Park on top (something with 1,7,9,12,13) and I know the 11 is the favorite but the two who are jumping out at me now are Theseo (who I always toss and am not sure why) and the 7, Maluckyday. So I did a win bet on old Theseo and a tri...

1,7/1,6,7,9 (he'll hit the board), 12/1,6,7,9,12

Good luck guys.

Well I sucked but good for Danleigh.

clyde 03-07-2011 07:22 PM

Oh poo.

Chalkfest with some true brilliance tonight... Jimmy and Black Caviar... most of the favorites at Randwick look really good (Hot Snitzel, Divorces).

Good luck to Mentality in R4 (My Kingdom of Fife is there... one of HRH Queen Elizabeths former horsies!).

I think the only race I might play is R3 @ Randwick...C'est La Guerre is at 30/1, Speed Gifted at 20/1 and Miss Keepsake (using her on top) at 8/1 (????!!!!). Need to throw together something and include the 4, Showcause.

Aside from that a great night of racing even if it's not looking like a profitable night.

Loved C'est La Guerre's run in the Chairman's Handicap - his best performance in a while.

My Kingdom of Fife? Really?

Black Caviar should bring things back to normal here.

_ed_ 04-08-2011 11:24 PM

Easy!

But congrats to Hay List as well for a great run - had the rest of the field covered by five lengths.

_ed_ 04-09-2011 12:27 AM

Nervous now. Come on, Jimmy.

my miss storm cat 04-09-2011 06:01 AM

He's extraordinary and he didn't have to win to show that. He already has.

One of the most exciting horses in training... I hope my friends in NZ are proud cause they should be. He's not going to win them all and the occassional loss is overshadowed by what he's already achieved.

Besides winning he's brought so much attention to a part of the racing world that never gets enough of it... a big star from a small country he's larger than life and I think maybe his loss makes him even more beloved to some.

Cheers to Black Caviar for another breathtaking win but cheers to Jimmy too. :)

_ed_ 04-09-2011 06:21 AM

Very nicely said. Thanks. :)

It was really disappointing at first when Jonathan started asking Jimmy for the effort and that sprint we know so well just wasn't there.

But it sounds like he's had enough of racing for a while - he's been in training since July, and he had his first race of this campaign in September. The tank was empty. They're not machines. He's done so much this season, it's not surprising he's tired.

He's going to have a few months off now and come back next August/September.

And congratulations to the winner, Shamrocker - fillies don't often win a Derby, so that was a great performance.

jaripeo 04-22-2011 11:22 PM

winner////////

my miss storm cat 05-20-2011 06:02 PM

Not sure who it was but congrats! :) :D

Are you playing tonight?

Some chalkie races...

Firebolt
Hot Snitzel
Divorces
... but ummm Culminate is at fantastic odds.

I think I might just play the two races... the Doomben Cup (and while I do like MKoF) am thinking of keeping it simple and just playing Triple Honour (I do love Shoot Out but he never wins when I need him to). For the record Zavite is scratched...

Good luck to Newport at Rosehill, to jungle Ruler at Flemington, and of course to UPSALA!!!!! (Playing hm to win of course. M/l is 12/1 but I'd imagine it'll go higher. Hooray! :D).

my miss storm cat 05-20-2011 11:18 PM

Firebolt...
