Yeah, eh? With all the great sprinters in SA history, wouldn't it have been relatively easy to honor a horse with this race? Why not the Kona Gold?

Started last year with move away from Oak Tree Association who retained the historic names of their fall season meet. As a result of the split, SA needed to create a set of alternate stakes.

Diamond Bachelor is likely the best 2 year old on the West Coast. Will be interested to see where he shows up on Breeders Cup day.

Callahan upsets the City of Hope (Arroyo Seco; Oak Tree Mile) with No Jet Lag... Obviously flat and off the board. (Just minor bridgejumping show pays)..

No, just looked at your figures, he looked hopelessly overmatched.

Figure didn't come close to telling the story. I would have dismissed the horse too, but our west coast blog guy was all over this one.

i saw that after the fact, I did no real handicapping just a little follow along a few minutes before post.

good call by that guy.

The last time Centralinteligence ran on dirt, he defeated Sahara Sky. I think he has a huge shot here and will get a setup right off the pace.

Roman Threat seems like the play if he is anything close to last year, I am willing to forgive the comeback, in what was a very good race, and at 7/1 seems like a good play.

I was a little suspect about Pointsonthebench on dirt but not about his talent, that horse can really run. Likely Sprint favorite.

The ride on Diamond Bachelor was interesting to say the least, I think with a more patient ride that horse would have won like a good horse.
