Glad to see the horse and connections success. Paco had a big breakthru day on a national stage, Plesa too.

Steve

This was a very good job of training by Plesa w/ Itsmyluckyday bringing him back from that injury. I have been following this horse since the beginning of last year and after his injury and his first few races at Monmouth I thought he would likely be a good Grade 3 horse. However, as I watched each race I realized that the way he was slowly bringing brought him back has to be commended. Instead of throwing him to the "wolves" he raised the bar each race he ran, improving and building upon the other to lay the foundation for this Grade 1 win.

Also have to give him credit for the addition of blinkers which many though would speed him up but appeared to make him more focused in the stretch.

I guess he had some patient owners I think some others could learn from this.:tro:

She feels like an epic over bet type next time she runs. I wont go as far as calling her a slug, but shes not very good IMO.

That's completely irrelevant given the track condition change.

:o Oops....my fault..I forgot that:o.....regardless still a pretty good job with a horse that many would have considered irrelevant late this spring.

I'll be interested to see the figure for the Hopeful. In light of what was a relatively quick final time for the NY-bred maiden fillies in the second race (not a particularly strong group, with the runner-up bearing out badly through the stretch), the final time of the Hopeful was very slow.

Horse is bred to win at 9/12 f's and is winning 5.5 races isnt this the very reason why he will never make derby never mind win it
