It's pretty lame that Honor Code is going in the Kelso instead of the JCGC. Looks like a great card though.

sorry, the word you used was lame

i think the kelso is a good prep for what they have planned next for honor code, the bc classic.

not a knock on the jcgc. also, if he did poorly at 10f saturday, what would that prep him for on bc weeked? the kelso is right up his alley, shouldn't take as much out of him, and gives him a great prep for going 10f in a few weeks. that way, the only question is going 10f...not whether this wknd takes too much out of him. |

I think it's great and he'll be primed for the Classic. Who was the last American horse to run 1 1/4 in his prep and run worth a darn in the Classic? Maybe I didn't think thoroughly and there's one or two I missed?

I would say that it could prep him very well for the Dirt Mile |

I'm just glad his ultimate goal is the classic, not the dirt mile. We just had a conversation on here about the mile vs the classic....and I applaud shug for going for it.

I think I'll defer to Shug. He's pretty good.
At the end of the day, his handling of Honor Code has been exceptional. Why would anyone question him now? |
