Belmont Wednesday June 13

Still got the fever after Belmont weekend so let's give this one more try.

Race 1:
#5 Team Colors
#4 Weekend Express
#9 Souperfast
#3 Shamcat

Race 2:
#7 Jazzy J: Average sales work but got over the ground well. Didn't seem to handle the downpour and mud but it was still a decent debut behind a Ward runaway. Martin hits at a good clip in these spots.
#1 Dizzy: May want a bit further but Rudy hits at a near 25% clip with these types of debutantes.
#2 Brass Ring
#6 South of France

Race 3:
#3 Bengala: Just hung on NA debut behind a runner who came back to take out a Stakes at Churchill. Deserved fav.
#6 Double Cast
#1 Violet Blue

Race 4:
#13 Flippity Flop is SCR...
#10 Scripted: Didn't seem to appreciate the sloppy track last time out. Half of her sibs that won did it on turf.
#9 Goldtown: Did get checked back to last, but thought she still could have closed a bit better. Was in a photo for 4th-7th, and PPs look a bit different if it was a 7th place finish.
#11 Hit a Provision: 2nd dam was a three time Stakes winner in England, albeit over much further.
#2 Nazay

Race 5:
#5 Local Counsel
#4 Surface Strike
#3 One More Tom
#2 Ninja Boys

Race 6:
#2 Wushu Warrior: 4 across the track at the wire when he won, but he had a troubled trip against older and showed he can come from off the pace. Has other speed to run at here.
#10 Heyitsnricopalazo
#6 American Power
#11 Hard Way Winner

Race 7:
#9 Strawberry Tequila: Have to think something was amiss last time...
#6 Rachel's Blue Moon
#8 Tayler's the Boss
#7 My Roxy Girl

Race 8:
#5 Seeking the Blue: Jumped sideways at the start when last seen in April. Extra distance should be in her favour and with a cleaner break should be right there early.
#4 Might Be: Heavy ML fav a bit vulnerable as both her wins came with slow paces.
#6 Salty Smile

Race 9:
#2 Zecha: Didn't look all too comfortable rating between horses last out in her turf debut. I think Carmouche will be aggressive here from an inside draw, adding blinkers, and dropping to MCL-level. Not much turf pedigree on the bottom, however, although Levine keeps her on the surface.
#10 J C S Star
#9 Andretta
#1 Fiveinthemorning

$0.60 Early Pick Five
Race 1: ALL (7)
Race 2: 1, 7
Race 3: 3
Race 4: 9, 10, 11
Race 5: 3, 4, 5
$75.60

$0.60 Early Pick Four
Race 2: 1, 2, 7
Race 3: 3, 6
Race 4: 2, 9, 10, 11
Race 5: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
$72.00

$0.60 Late Pick Four
Race 6: 2, 6, 10, 11
Race 7: 6, 7, 8, 9
Race 8: 4, 5
Race 9: 1, 2, 8, 9, 10
$96.00

Good luck!

Thanks Kitan.

Race 7 seems pretty open to me. The M/L favorite has run and won one race, last year. I never like to put money on a horse like that, especially given that there will probably be more early speed this time around. I’ve been interested by the #5 Downtown at Noon...but I’m going to take a look at the ones you mentioned because I may like the #6 Rachel’s Blue Moon a little more.

Definitely can win but I'll take a shot against. Wide open race. 5 finally got over the top last time and that can be the catalyst for confidence. Best of luck.

Disappointed to see the 13 Flippity Flop scratched from Race 4. I was on board with you on her.

I’m going to back the 4 Chenais’ Posse in that one now. She has come back running better in 2018 and I like that she’s returning to 6f after trying out a mile. I’m not sure she can win this one...but she’s probably going to go off above 20-1 so I really like the value there.

Good luck to you as well.

And I completely missed that the 5 was beaten by the same Ward horse, and another who ran in a stakes on the weekend...stupid idiot I am :zz::zz::zz:

Alabama Stakes 06-13-2018 01:57 PM

Late double of 4&1 is the coldest of cold doubles I’ve bet in a while.

Give the inside speed 47 to the half in a 6f race...:zz: my own fault for not using her in the late P4 at least.

That was a nice overlay, with both horses somehow double digit odds! :$::$:

I used the 8 a bit (was in my P4 numbers) but jeez that was a tough bob for both of you.
