Ivan Denisovich

O'Brien late supplemented this horse to the Secretariat at Arlington, obviously Ace is BIG gun for this year. Has Ivan even run this year over their yet?

You are declaring him a monster and you don't even know if he ran this year?

I believe his last race was the St. James Palace Stakes at Ascot. It is a mile race and he finished 3rd behind a very good Araafa, who has beaten George Washington. He has not looked good this year. I thought he was running at Chantilly in a race but don't know if that happened or not.

Ok, he was destroyed in his race at Chantilly too. They must think the US is really weak so they are taking a chance, but Showing Up and Go Between are better horses.

Ace is a bum. Totally out of form. No shot in the Million...

What a monster. 8th out of 11, third out of 11, 7th out of 11, 8th out of 10. Showing Up and Go Between better watch out.

That's what people said about Powerscourt last year. He hadn't won since May of the year before..... couldn't even win the Scottish Derby. I knew he'd win the Million..... for the second time.

With Ace..... I'll never lose my faith (this is my favorite horse) and with Fallon (STUPIDLY) not allowed to ride here it's not looking as good as it was, but still.....

He may never win another race again but I'll root for him all the same.

He was actually fighting at the end of the International Stakes a few weeks back. Something about those races with Ouija Board..... he wasn't himself.

I don't think they are saying he is a monster but when O'Brien sends one over they are ready for a big effort. That's all.

is his planned race 10furlongs.. he barely looks to stay a mile.. decent horse but I would be very surprised if he beat SHowing Up who looked very good on turf!

I think that is the main point. He is a miler at best. No way he runs 10F with two very good horses that already have proven 10F is nothing to them.

Ivan Denisovich is a G3 type horse in Europe.

O'Brien more than often runs horses like Ivan in G1s and hopes for the best.

Probably not good enough to win at Arlington though. The fact that the horse has been supplemented means nothing as the Coolmore people have supported the Arlington Million day in recent years.

Many of their horses at this time of year are on the sales list.
