Don't forget...Royal Ascot implications in Race 9.

If third choice on ML Classic Causeway runs to his odds he may punch his ticket for the Prince of Wales's.

Coincidentally, the British Isles are enjoying one of the deepest older horse divisions in years. Currently included in the entries for the Prince of Wales's alone are:

2021 Derby winner Adayar
Champion winner Bay Bridge
2yo/3yo/4yo Group 1 winner Luxembourg
2022 Derby winner Desert Crown
F&M Champion winner & Oaks runner-up Emily Upjohn
Dual Australian Group 1 winner Dubai Honour

Imagine the coup Ascot will pull off if it can draw Classic Causeway...

Forget the clash of principals from the older horse division, if McPeek sends his colt it will change the entire subtext of the race.

Instead the focus of the race will become the epic matchup between 2022 Belmont Derby winner Classic Causeway and 2021 Belmont Derby winner Bolshoi Ballet.

Never mind that Bolshoi Ballet is one more poor effort away from being relegated to Coolmore pacesetter, these 2 may end up in their own private match race...

...most likely about 10 to 15 lengths behind the rest of the horses...

A good finish in the Prince of Wales and a stallion deal could be on the table in the Czech Republic..So he has that going for him

A 'good' finish or does he just have to finish the race, period?

Emily Upjohn just humiliated two Irish Derby winners in Westover and Hurricane Lane in the Coronation Cup going 12 furlongs today on the Oaks undercard.

Don't know if she's meant to drop back to 10 furlongs at Royal Ascot, but if she does, Classic Causeway might be better served to borrow McPeek's rented top hat & tails to go mingle with the paddock crowd...

Well, I guess those of us who had our heart's set on that epic showdown between Classic Causeway & Bolshoi Ballet better hope Aidan O'Brien sends the latter to Saratoga for the Bowling Green...
