ATR Soundtrack

Can anyone produce a list of song titles (with the names of the artists, if possible) for the break music played on ATR? I don't know whether it's hearing it every afternoon and morning, the excitement of the upcoming Breeder's Cup, or just plain OCD, but I want those songs on my iPod.

If no such list exists, just toss out some that you're sure of.

Wow! That was some fast reply! Thank you very much. That list went above and beyond.

When's the Christmas CD come out?

blackthroatedwind 10-15-2008 08:30 PM

We need " All You Do Is Talk " from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

And, of course, Scarlet Begonias.

Kasept 10-15-2008 08:30 PM

If you haven't heard this band... The Script.

I don't know...

"Baby Got Back" has kind of been played out in the past twenty years. The music on ATR has a real hipness to it. It's like whoever is choosing these songs is trying to show off to other hipsters.

I think the only way that "Baby Got Back" would work is if you played the quote from the kid in Let it Ride. It goes something like: "You find a horse with a big ass in a field like this..."

Zaf 10-15-2008 08:31 PM

Thanks for the list Steve :)

How about Van Morrison's "(That Was a) Wonderful Remark"?

Best used on "The King of Comedy" soundtrack...

Don't be embarrassed, Steve. That's a compliment. I used to be a music hipster. I always planned on staying one. Unfortunately, I never evolved. I still think The Pixies and The Smiths is what all the kids are listening to.

You mean they aren't? What's cooler than Morrisseying yourself into a funk? ;)

I try hard to make the music fun and be ahead of the curve.

The place to go is Sirius 11... BBC Radio One... for the freshest brit pop...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/

and WFPK Louisville for the funkiest playlist in America...
http://www.wfpk.org/

The two hippest sources going...

lay off the daily affirmations.

dean smith 10-15-2008 09:06 PM

Don't try and bring down The Mozz, or we're going to have to wrestle. WTF nothing! If you don't know what it means to Morrissey yourself into a funk, then at this point, you'll probably never understand.

blackthroatedwind 10-15-2008 09:09 PM

Is Morrisseying yourself into a funk anything like Byking yourself into nausea?

If so.....I think I understand.

paisjpq 10-15-2008 09:09 PM

Steve is a big boy (for the most part)...he's taken much worse from me

dean smith 10-15-2008 09:13 PM

Is that listening to ATR on the drive home and then LISTENING TO THE SAME **** in the replay on the way to work the next day? Is that Byking yourself into nausea? If nausea is the feeling you set out to feel before experiencing the Byking, then yes, that's like Morrisseying yourself into a funk.

dean smith 10-15-2008 09:16 PM

I wasn't defending Steve, I was defending Morrissey. He needs my defending. He's very fragile, emotionally.
