I hope the brain trust at Monmouth that had no problem employing and housing the biggest cheats in the sport for years are proud of what they created.

What an embarrassment this day has been there

I'm playing Following Sea with the three longshots. Can't understand how they decided on a 3/5 favorite in this field.

Hopefully horse and rider are okay. Good thing the jocks couldn’t use their whips though. Almost like the whips would’ve prevented that.

Per the DRF : "at the Monmouth first aid room about 15 minutes later, he was on his feet, reportedly only suffering from some knee pain. Lopez said he had been kicked in the knee."
Good to hear that. It looked a lot worse. Fortunate there was a big gap to the rest of the field.

Tough day for NJ racing. Both the Haskell and Meadowlands Pace winners Dq'd.

He was very lucky. A left handed stick on HRC might have stopped him from veering in the way he did. I thought the rule is that it was OK to use the stick for safety reasons and that was one of them. Too much to ask for a jockey to encourage his horse to run fast and steer him too without some means of correction.
