What a freakin' race the Pacific Classic should be! You don't usually get value + intrigue in the same race.

Am I really gonna get 9-2 on Majestic Harbor? I think I will with the other names in there. I might be all in.

alysheba4 08-23-2014 05:35 PM

Frac daddy hurt in his stall, out of the race.

Trujillo's ride on Unbridled Command in the Del Mar Handicap is one for the ages. Perfectly relaxed after first turn and takes the horse out and engages in a three wide, three horse duel around second turn, then guns to the top on the backside in a 1 1 3/8 race. He honestly should lose his license for that ride, probably his driver's license too.

Unbridled Command ran remarkably well considering the anvil on his back.

We'll since I bet him that's no surprise. :D

I dont think it will....the only scenario I see that in is if Game On Dude is just running free after a half and Shared Belief has to go much earlier than he wants. I think ideally the Arg horse goes but if he does not then I am sure Smith would be fine if he was on Game on Dudes hip the whole way around till the real running starts.

It could actually have a slowish pace compared to the SA races earlier this year.

Goldencents looks like a lock to me. Fed Biz loves this surface but that last was a bit dressed up.

I wont be surprised if there is an inside speed bias today.

Shared Belief is ok I suppose.

Indian Charlie 08-24-2014 08:25 PM

LOL. yeah.

I can't wait to see how PG1985 spins Shared Belief kicking Game on Dude's butt.

Probably gonna go with the "perfect trip" angle for SB while GoD had to do all the early running.

dalakhani 08-24-2014 08:36 PM

That is the best horse in the country. I don't think he beat much but the way he did it was freakish.

Which is a valid explanation. Shared Belief is very good, but let's not pretend that race wasn't served up to him on a silver platter.

If I wasn't a beliefer before, I'm definitely a beliefer now. That horse is a serious athlete.
