ROI Results 8/28 @ Saratoga

Travers Day at Saratoga was good for some of us and one of those dreaded double the bets days
for others. The racing was pretty formful but some races had exciting finishes. Gamine, Letruska,
Jackie's Warrior and Essential Quality all showed thier toughness. As for our contest Cal hit 2
Daily Doubles but couldn't catch a price. Joly hit a $12 Grand Slam 4 times but it wasn't enough
to crack the profit line. Digger takes the place spot with a tasty bet on Firenze Fire which returned
$520. At least FF thought it was tasty. Most days that would be a winner. As luck would have it (or
carelessness) Real Quiet gets the win on Travers Day with a nice exacta in Letruska's race. The
6-3 combo paid $25.50 for each buck and with the extra hundred I had Essential Quality to win.
Following are the unofficial results
pending something I'm good at. Mistakes.I think all and all Saratoga was a good place to be this
summer. See you wherever we wind up this week.

Well for me, and the years not over yet, I've never had a year with wagers like this and that goes back to playing these forum contests since 2000. And at the track I'm very happy to break even on the day. I seem to have found an angle that works for my simple brain and unlike many, many times before I've been lucky enough to pick the right races to apply my rudimentary wagers
.
I made a goal starting this year to focus on wagering than on the points contest. As I said, the year ain't over yet now that I'm giving myself a small pat on the back, I've likely jinxed my self through the Breeders Cup.

Oh and allow me this little announcement since College Football is finally on our doorstep . . . my Tigers vs the Bulldogs this Saturday evening and that too makes me very happy!!! :) :) :)

And RQ, I've been remiss in thanking you each week for all the abacas work you do here. You and Plen are the oil that keep this forum running!!!

Congratulations Indian Hemp on your ROI win. Love that you won on a pick-3 wager too, one of my favorite wagers back in the 80's when there were only two choices, early and late. I would single pick my late win 3 every day when Pimlico was running. I got off work at 3:00 and ran to the track just to play. I had some big payoff with just $2. My first was $900. Anyway nice play IH...

One week you get 10 points for $5 profit and the next week you get 5 points for $320 profit. You never know in these contest.
