Scuds/PGA Tour

give me one player, that hasn't won out there in at least 4 years, that you think will win this year. Paul Goydos not included.

Samarta 01-25-2007 07:53 PM

David Duval.....Man what a great story that would be.

Sam, it would be fantastic. He's off to a good start today. My pick is Jesper, I think he gets a really hot putter one week this year and wins.

Hope you and Marta are well.

SCUDSBROTHER 01-26-2007 10:20 PM

That's not exactly what you were lookin' for. O.K...Dudley Hart.

Thanks buddy, we're doing well. She's still on the job hunt, but all in all can't complain.

Yeah I would be pulling hard for DD. Guy deserves a break.

Stephen, he just might. He has a couple streaky guys chasing him (Chopra, Badds, Rollins). Always like Dudley...seems to have tamed his temper problems that plaqued him when he was younger.

GPK 02-03-2007 09:22 PM

Scuds...is Quinney taking over Phil as the leader in the man boobs department?? My God...put on a sweater vest or windshirt...or SOMETHING:eek:

SCUDSBROTHER 02-03-2007 09:42 PM

Anybody's tournament.I don't mean to demean a guy who has played great for 3 days, but he is a well known choke artist on Sundays. That was on a lesser tour. Now how about handling the pressure on Sunday on the big tour? I doubt he does it,but I couldn't see Awesome Gem run outside the top 2 either.Tyler's game plan included following that stopping OBJECTIVE horse??What? ....what tf was he doing?

must have got word that you need him, so in turn he gave you the worst ride possible...but since the ride doesn't matter....

I don't know which was worse.Espinoza just simply sitting asleep on his horse
(with a Hammerlock) as S Return runs a 49(this is after many races where this horse had pushed 46'4-48 half miles.....how does he just sit there as Gomez blows by him in a desperate attempt to keep Return from stealing the race.........or Tyler's simply horrible ride on AWE. GEM(following the stopping Objective horse.)I think Espinoza's head really had to be somewhere else. That was a mile race, and he just kept a hammerlock on his horse, and let Solis set a 49 half?

hits in the water on 17....then a marvelous recovery....wow

GPK 02-04-2007 04:42 PM

OH Sh*t...Rollins pures it on 18 and hits the flagstick....horrible break....

MinnSkinny 02-04-2007 04:56 PM

It ain't over yet, this Rollins played like the real deal!

Love to see the Richmond, Va boy doing well.

GPK 02-04-2007 05:07 PM

congrats to Dresses....was money when it counted on the last few holes.

SCUDSBROTHER 02-05-2007 04:38 PM

I thought Quinney was gunna take it,but he reverted to his chokin' ways on Sundays. It is sad,but not as sad as guys that can't even compete at all for a win.

timmgirvan 02-05-2007 05:30 PM

Quinney is a rookie,right? he's had 3 top 5's so far....give him a break! And at 806,000, he's got his card for '08,right?

TIMM,I am a horizontal player. He was on the Nationwide tour for a while, and failed to finish the job(time after time.)He won one time. How? By shooting 63(from behind on Sunday.)No doubt, from a business point of view, golf allows these types to do very well(financially.)That drive into the water was simply a choke. When somebody has a 2 or 3 shot lead going into the final round, one shouldn't be able to confidently say that this guy won't win the tournament. That is the case with this one.

I agree that he choked,,,and I'd forgotten your penchant for picking competitive golfers and the bets you've scored on. From that perspective I see....hopefully this kid can someday be a 'closer' for you

Yea,I mean it is not too often you can simply ignore the leader, and bet the others. It is important to be able to identify the most mentally weak. The guy has obvious talent.Could simply be in the same position in 2 weeks(head problem...not a talent problem.)

Scuds...sad ending to a chapter in Goydos life. Horrible disease claims another life.

Yea, that's sad. I got a sister in law that probably couldn't get through the door to use your bathroom. Thank God they only bred one kid(cuz I know she is gunna die.) ...BTW, QUINNEY is still a G D CHOKE!! CHARLES HOWELL is a choke. Adam Scott is choke adjacent.

Wow, that's a bummer. I had no idea that was happening in his life. I have a good friend that just got divorced because of his ex's addiction. It's toughest on young kids because they don't understand why one of their parents is in and out of their life.

By the way Paul Stankowski and Jeff Maggert are two guys that havn't won in a while who I would like to see win.

When is the last time Davis Love won speaking of classy guys with family issues......as for Paul G. I have a new guy to follow and root for given his response to how he decided that saving his kids by getting away from the disease at it's ugliest was more important than his game and goes beyond heroic in my book . My heart goes out to the guy and his two children who undoubtedly will feel the effects of moms choices for quite some time if not a lifetime to come. May none of us get the phone call that this guy got as the mother of his children chose active addicition over her kids and watching them live a life loving her. Brutal stuff......

He just won back in November at Disney.

SCUDSBROTHER 01-21-2009 11:34 PM

Doc, you may want to pull for Pat perez this week. If that guy doesn't win soon, he may kill something.

Jimmy's gearing up for the seniors tour Scuds ..in a couple of years he will be mowing them down

nice guy was in his group once at West CC before JD won the PGA and became famous , jimmy's playing partners marvelled at how far he hit it at the time , and when JD was teeing off on an oppsite hole he said "take a look at a guy who really hits it" , daly then bombed one about 340 - it was great

"at the time" he may have been hitting it pretty far, because his lone PGA win is exactly where that trait is very important(Shell Houston.) Funny thing about this guy is he made about the same amount of cuts on the PGA TOUR in 2008 as he did on the 2007 Nationwide Tour, but made about the same amount of money(140k) both years:zz: Good luck to him( Grinder severe.)
