He is one of those people who thinks the Breeders Cup is the beginning and end to a racing season.

Coach Pants 01-05-2007 10:59 AM

He's got a rockin' 'do

eurobounce 01-05-2007 11:00 AM

Why is it that Beyer, Watchmaker and Crist all look like they just woke up at the local YMCA?

LOL! One of the funniest posts ever on here.

Coach Pants 01-05-2007 11:04 AM

If I got a handicapping job at the DRF I would rock this look..

I think it is a criteria to look like that. But that look would be awesome.

As long as they don't show up at the track naked I'd rather listen to them than some bimbo who has no idea what they are talking about.

Not a fan of the plethora of platinum blondes, hey?

Like horses...class matters. :)

ALostTexan 01-05-2007 11:52 AM

I love the comments above. I always kid with a friend of mine that I think the only reason that Watchmaker is still with DRF is so that Steve Crist doesn't have the worst 'do at the Form. (It certainly isn't for MW's handicapping prowess.)

hoovesupsideyourhead 01-05-2007 11:57 AM

crist is good..watchmaker bad..

Yet how many people are going to vote for Oujia Board even though Gorella dusted the same horses in the Beverly that OB beat in the BC FM Turf? I think it is a silly double standard that she will likely win the award while Red Rocks wasn't even a finalist. The Awards are supposed to be based solely on accomplishments in North America.

Carolyn Conley is a lovely and eloquent brunette at Santa Anita.

I will take Christine Olaveres from TVG over anyone. She does a good job at an interview.

I can't stand her babytalk voice but otherwise she's tolerable.

The_Guy_Smiley 01-08-2007 09:12 AM

Jessica Pacheco (Fair Grounds) also seems to be an attractive femme
who's not a product of Mattel's Barbie Doll factory, but....

Have these lady touts won any type of handicapping contests?
Proved their mettle on paper?
Where can I find their meet-long stats?

I find it insulting that racetrack executives want to get our
attention by flaunting the blondes on the simulcasting screen.

They know we can't hear them anyway - at least we'll gawk. :D

Possibly because most of the people she interviews have known her since she was knee-high to a grasshopper (daughter of local jockey Frank Olivares). Immediate comfort zone.

Gander 01-09-2007 01:55 PM

She bares a resemblance to Rachel Bilson of the soon to be cancelled OC. That is a compliment in case you were unsure.

hes always been 1 and always will be, sorry to be harsh but hes completely idiotic nonstop and isnt worth all the shiat that was inside the shiatbins outside the barn today@hawthorne. he ever picks a horse you like in his weekend warrior segment dont bother betting the horse and instead save your money because 99.9% of the time your mushed and will run up the track

cmorioles 01-09-2007 02:46 PM

He has outdone himself. This article is so bad it is almost unbelievable.

I realize not everyone has a DRF plan and can't read this, but if you do, it is excellent comedic relief.
