LOL!
In the article it said their gate could have been blocked.
I hope Mera reads this and lets us know. Playa...are you lookin' up?

I don't blame the aliens one bit for turning around. I can't tell you how many times I have sat at O'hare waiting for a gate. It's really frustrating.

Downthestretch55 01-04-2007 02:45 PM

I just heard word of another sighting!
Uncle Ned and his buddy, Fast Finger Phil were at the skeet range with their twelve guages, getting ready for the "Firemen's Shoot-Off".
Fast Finger Phil called me and told me what he heard and saw.
Seems that just as the one was released from the high house at station 7, and right before the low house on the right released a clay bird, he told me he heard a high pitched voice.
"Greeting Earthlings, we come in peace."
Uncle Ned had called for the double, "Pull!"
Alas, before Phil could say anything....
BANG!! BANG!!

Sorry, folks. Keep your eyes up.
Hold fire...they might be smaller than you think.
This is not a good sign for future interplanetary relations.

JJP 01-04-2007 02:48 PM

The last time UFO was in Chicago I think they played the Int'l Amphitheatre. "Rock Bottom" live is as good as any hard rock song....especially w/Michael Schenker shredding the Flying V.

You Chicago people have all the luck!
I've never heard 'em.
Do they sound at all like the "Chipmunks"?
Simon was always my favorite. Alvin was second.
I hope they come back.
If you can get them on your cel-phone, you could become rich!
Hold fire and hit "record".

JJP 01-04-2007 03:03 PM

UFO is more like a cross between the Scorpions and Judas Priest.

Well JJP,
I don't know much about scorpions...just that if I ever come across one, I'd squish it first. That tail is fearsome.
As far as Judas...we all know what happened to him...30 pieces of silver, right?
Priests? As long as they don't go after little altar boys, I'm neutral. Do they go to the same school as Foley?
Cut our interplanetary friends a break.
Uncle Ned will on his next round at the skeet range. Practice is important.
As far as seeing out alien buddies and getting their voices on tape, be ready, be vigilant, look up. BE PREPARED!!!
Gosh, I miss Simon. Alvin and Theodore too.

"Look, up ahead...."

Downthestretch55 01-05-2007 10:06 AM

Uh Oh! Uh Oh!
Is this a meterorite? Testing is in the works.
My thinking is that they're fighting back, hitting us with their big stuff.
But why NJ? Lots of nice folks live there, and Uncle Ned, the guy that fired the first shot is in upstate NY.
Wrong state little alien buddies.
Let's have an immediate truce! Uncle Ned didn't mean it! It was a mistake!

Downthestretch55 01-05-2007 05:18 PM

Wow! My dog is barking his head off! I think I just saw something very strange land behind the barn... little flashing blue and green lights.
I'm not scared...well, a little.
I hope I can negotiate with them.
I'll let you know when I get back...if I'm not abducted.
Shut up dog! You'll scare them!
Where's my light saber?

Downthestretch55 01-05-2007 05:55 PM

Whew! I'm back. I knew you were worried.
Everything is safe.
The dog finally stopped barking. I found my flashlight but not my light saber.
Anyway, I went behind the barn.
No flashing lights, no spaceship.
All I saw was a squirrel.
It ran away.
Well, I'll continue to be vigilant, protecting the planet from invaders and all that stuff.
Keep your eyes open, your head up, and report to "command center" if you find anything.
"Bring 'em on!"
DTer's ain't skeered of anything!

Downthestretch55 01-06-2007 11:31 AM

I went back this morning to investigate in day light.
You're not going to believe this. There was a crop circle!
Well, it could be...then it might just be where one of the cats that roam around did something that burned the grass. It's about the size of a small sized frisbee.
I'm very interested to know if any DTer's have a siting. Post it here.
Thanks!
Keep watching, heads up. I think they're gentle and want to be friends.

skippy3481 01-06-2007 05:28 PM

Dts,
I'm glad you are poking fun at something but very simply if i pilot sees something and says its not weather, then 99 times out of a 100 its not. We as pilots are taught not to report UFO's to the FAA. Why you ask... because it always seems the faa yanks your license until you go to a pysch counsul. There have been numerous sightings over the last 10 years in which nothing appeared on the radar but more then once the military has launched alert fighters to check it out. Then of course the government denies everything. You know me well enough to know I'm not a conspiracy nut, but when a pilot says that he saw something that was abnormal, attach some intelligence to it. We spend a great deal more time up in the air then anyone else.

Skippy,
Believe me my friend, I'm not "poking fun".
You pilots are our best eyes in the sky. I mean it.
I've had people tell me I'm a bit crazy about this but...well, if I told you, you wouldn't believe me. That crop circle gave me chills, and there have been other occurances, that I won't get into now.
Please report anything you see. I mean it. Then it won't be just me that's accused of being crazy.
Also, their crafts might be smaller than most people think.
Please report any and all sightings.
Thanks.

Hooves,
"Love to love" might be the best approach. I don't think they mean us any harm. They're just a little confused by our "doings".
Uncle Ned didn't help much.

Honestly i dont know if i believe there are aliens or not. Obviously, I've never seen anything, but im telling you, many sightings go unreported. The only way i would ever report it, is if i was asking for military help because i thought the object posed a risk to the aircraft or crew. Besides that, shoot its just not worth it. It's no diffrent then the whole pilots carrying guns on aircraft. No thanx.

Skippy,
If you see anything, you can post it here. I don't think any DTer's will report you to the FAA.
I don't think thy're trying to cause "risk". They've been watching for a while.
Heck, many people don't even believe in Big Foot either.
There are always doubters.
We all know what happened in Nevada, and Idaho.
There's really no use in keeping this a secret any longer.

skippy3481 01-06-2007 06:51 PM

I'll be happy to post it here, as long as its not official, the faa could care less. The problem from their standpoint is when someone reports a UFO, then something tragic happens, like an aircraft accident. All of a sudden the family finds out they reported UFO's and the blame game starts. The faa doesn't want to be in the position of having to defend its regulation of pilot certificates.

Skippy,
I promise that anything you report here I will never report.
I'm also sure that anybody that reads this thread will pledge to not report anything to the FAA.
Are you with me on this pledge DTer's?
Just agree to this:
I a DTer will not report anyone that reports any sighting or information regarding "UFO's".

True Story

When I was in elementary school, I think 5th grade (1960's) I was walking to school (kids walk to school back then) when up in the sky were several small objects, they appeared to be very high in the sky and disc shaped.

They moved from one side of the sky to another in unison several times at speeds far faster than a plane. It was amazing.

The next day the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported similar sightings all over northern Ohio. Don't know what it was but it was an Unidentified Flying Object.

I believe what I saw, it was before my drug days so that can't explain it and in the midst of my innocennce of youth. Saw alot of other things during my drug days, but that's a whole nother story!

Thanks Spyder. I think I saw them too when they came over NY.
Now, to switch gears a little, have you heard about the Bermuda triangle?
Ya know, where planes and ships go missing.
Well I've been very busy finding all I can about the NY triangle. If you connect Atlantic City, NJ, Montauk on LI, and the tip of Manhattan, do you have any idea of how many ships and planes have gone missing inside that triangle? Totally amazing! Hardly ever reported.
Do you think there might be agencies that are trying to suppress the information from reaching the public?
We'll share it here on the DT!
All sightings and reports are welcome.

skippy3481 01-07-2007 02:08 PM

The bermuda triangle was all but figured dts, it has to with magnetic interference if you would like more info you can pm me.

Skippy,
Thanks. I've learned a lot about anomalies lately. The Bermuda triangle is indeed magnetic. Do you know anything about the NY triangle?
Thanks,
DTS

skippy3481 01-07-2007 02:51 PM

To prefectly honest I've never heard of it. But i'm sure it has to be along the same lines as the nut jobs who thought up the bermuda triangle.

I don't know about that. Lots of ships and planes met their end within that triangle. It goes way back to the 1600's. Many ships in the 1800's, and golly, in the 20th century..far too many.
It's unexplained as of now. Not the stuff of "nut jobs".

skippy3481 01-07-2007 03:15 PM

Dts, im really kinda shocked. There have been several major studies done, that have proven that this area is no diffrent then any other. Here I'll link it for you

Skippy,
Thanks for the link, very interesting. I still have questions about the Bimini Road, but that wasn't really the point. I'm very interested in the NY triangle. Strange events that have happened there are still unexplained, and they've happened over centuries. It gets very little reporting.
Thanks again.

Not a problem, just so many people who will spin anything to their point of view. If you believe something hard enough, you can imagine some evidence.

I hear you Skippy.
Let's just put "eye witness" accounts on this thread. Spyder did.
I've seen strange things too. Not imaginings.
Heck, evidence is finding candy in the stocking that was hung with care over the fireplace.
That's not what I want. Let's keep it real. Honest sightings, ok?
Thanks,

skippy3481 01-07-2007 03:46 PM

Okay fair enough but you must understand that a UFO does not mean its an alien craft. Just that you don't know what it is.

Skippy,
Thanks. There's a lot that I don't know about...what "is" is.
You're our eyes in the sky.
If you see anything, please let us all know.
I'm guessing that there are others that are holding back, not admitting that they're as ignorant as I am.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks.

Sad to say, more snow fell on them before I could make a casting, so I shoveled them off. I might have destroyed some good evidence, oh well.
It's still snowing.
Maybe he'll come back later. I can only hope.

Strange noises all last night...loud breathing, things getting knocked over.
I was a bit freaked listening to it going on, so I stayed under the blankets.
Could it really have been Big Foot making a return?
I didn't get up to find out.
I'll wait to see what happens tonight.

note to self, don't feed the dog kilbasa anymore, especially before going to bed.

DTS55, are you buying a share of Steve's partnership? If so, I really think you need to be publicity manager. With your skills with words I think you can get 80,000 people out to see it run, fan club, TV spots, T shirts, etc.

You are a trip my man.
