What is the Quintessential 80's Song?
Everybody has one song which = 80's. We aren't talking about your favorite 80's songs at all. Just which songs are the best barometers of the 80's music scene
I have 2. -the first one is Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears---screams 80's everytime I hear it -second is Take on Me by Aha---you have not only the song but the video which goes along with it Honorable mention- Jesse's Girl, and Livin on a prayer |
come on Eileen--dexy's midnight runners
used to have jesse's girl as the ringtone on my phone...love that song. |
I know Im not the only guy in here that used to love it when the Whitesnake video from "Here I Go Again" would come on MTV....I swear that chick dancing on the car was staring at me the whole time through that video....:o :o
|
prolly the enduring 80's song would be one of the MANY annoying tunes by Madonna... material girl or like a virgin...
or cyndi lauper before she stopped letting the record company tell her what to record.... |

"Melt With You" would be my choice, but I'll add onto the list:
(so with you with "Come on Eileen," Bethani) "Tempted" "Save a Prayer" (not the most famous Duran Duran, but I think the best one) "Born in the USA" Oh! Oh! And "In a Big Country." LOVE that song! |
