i think we should put horses on backburner for a second and
take a minute of your day to say a little prayer for a successfull operation that mr byk is having this week,,,,lets face it,, with some ,,he dominates 3 hours of our life every weekday,,,and it couldnt be better,,
bowing head for you steve and wishing all the best |
Retinal surgery not something you hear about everyday so I have to imagine that it is a serious thing. Wishing him the best possible outcome and a speedy recovery.
|
Something tells me the last thing Steve would want is for us to put horses on the back burner...wishing Steve the absolute best and a speedy recovery, I'm hoping to meet up and say hi later in the meet at Saratoga actually.
In the meantime I think the best way to honor him would be to post more analysis in the Selections forum and I intend on trying to pick up some of the slack, even if I could never match the incredible insights he generously offers us all so often. Best of luck Steve, hope you're recovered by the 17th/18th when I intend to make it back to the Spa. |
read the post guarantee
i said for a minute,, i didnt say for good or any amount of time, a simple prayer or a thought, if you wish not to do it, by all means thats your perogitive
|
Hey ontheoutside -- by no means did I mean to disparage your point, I apologize for how that came off, was not my intent. By all means hopefully everyone says a prayer for Steve...good vibes all over!

the guarentee had a intersting thought
he said maybe he would try to pick up slack with the picks and such
maybe someone could try and do the grids, with the a b c thing for the pick 5 and pick 4 just a thought |
Maybe everyone could do one race.ill take the first.

My Dad has had multiple retinal surgeries. They aren't fun. Follow those doctor's recovery offers, Steve.
Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery. |
He will be fine, chix dig him
|
Hold on, face down for 2 weeks???! How is that even possible?
All the best for a speedy recovery Steve! |
Hope all goes well and wishing a speedy recovery Steve!
|
had a co-worker who had it done twice within a year, he'll be ok ;) as for the "racing", I bet they will be "off-the-turf" for Wednesday :D quite a major line of t-storms in the Saratoga area this Tuesday evening around supper time.

Good luck, and speedy recovery
|
Good luck Steve!
Prayers for your speedy and successful recovery! |
Steve
Can't help thinking about Steve. Plus this happened during Saratoga. I think it's awful and wish him the best. I can't imagine laying upside down for 2 weeks.
I was watching the races today and thought Steve is probably laying face-down. Get well soon Steve. |
Jeez boss. Get well soon.
|
Steve, best wishes on a speedy recovery.

...but GOOD LUCK AND GET WELL SOON STEVE! |
That is the oddest recovery position I ever heard of.
|
Steve we need you off the DL ASAP. Get well.

Steve posted this on his Facebook page Thursday 8/1:
"Want to thank everyone for the kind well wishes and support. Was out of it all day yesterday but feeling better this morning. Going to be a slow process. Two weeks on my right side in bed; 2 months for vision to clear. Tina is watching over me like a hawk.." |
Wishing you a speedy recovery Mr. Byk.
|
Appreciate all the authentic concern for me and the surgery. Seeing doctors this morning for a progress report.
|
Hope it's all good news. KP
|
Hope the doctor removes the blinkers and front wraps🤪🐎💰

Saw doctors and healing normally with everything where it is supposed to be. Gas bubble holding retina in place is obscuring vision and will continue to for 6-8 weeks. Won’t know how well we’ll see out of it until then. Have to go another full week yet laying down. Get to return to work on the 15th. Thanks to everyone for the concern and well wishes.
|
We're all thinking about you. Actually with all the posts you still are making, are you working Derby Barbee to hard? Maybe we should worry about her.
Get better Steve, and take the time that's needed. Spyder from SC |
Some good news/bad news..
Good news.. It's been 2 weeks and I'm able to stand/sit upright for longer stretches, so ATR returns today. Bad news.. I can't see out of my left eye and won't know for at least 2 months how much vision I'll have with it. Can't drive and having trouble with depth perception. Good news.. On the turf today! Thanks again for the kind wishes, thoughtful gestures and overwhelming support through this thoroughly strange incident. |
We'll keep praying for you and I know the battle you're up against.
Take the time you need. You have a whole lot of people behind you! Spyder Quote:

Steve - I haven’t been following or listening as much recently so I had no clue what was going on. Just want to say best of luck in recovery. Make sure you listen to the doctors. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Get Well
Does this mean Kacy gets to choose the Bumper music for the radio show?
Hang tuff bet more and close the deal on the retina:) |
