I noticed on the Bloodhorse Breeders Cup preview, they listed Ashado as "still in training". Huh??? It's on the list of Distaff winners.

That is a matchup bet between Rand and I. I have EC and he has Cacique on BC day. Whoever finishes in front of the other.
EC and I lead the series 1-0, as the only time we have made this bet was back in July during the United nations, when Randy and I were at the Handicapping Contest at Colonial Downs.


Things are okay here. I started the training for my new job on Monday. I think I am really gonna love the gig. Gonna leave early Sat. morning and head to Roanoke for the weeked to find a place to live.

I just thought it was strange that the Bloodhorse would make such a big mistake. She sold for 9 mil and they're keeping her in training? Yeah right.:rolleyes:
I wasn't impressed by her at the sale. She was a complete wing nut. Yeah, she came off the track to the sale, but so did Stellar Jayne and she was a lady through and through. I would have given 9 mil for her before I would Ashado.

I just remember anything that sold over 5 mil is usually purchased by Sheikh Mo, Coolmore, or a Japanese.
Sheikh Mo doesn't cater to any Coolmore stallions so GC wasn't Ashados' first.:p

he owns ashado, and i seriously doubt she'd ever visit a barn with giants causeway, fupeg, or any other coolmores.

I didn't like this mare either, thought she was very course looking, I like a mare to look feminine, I also much preferred Stellar Jayne in every way. I always felt Ashado was extremely lucky in that Azeri and Sightseek retired the year before, she would have been dusted by those mares in every race as they put impressive times down, something Ashado rarely if ever did.

And I agree that she wasn't exactly a "pretty picture." Course is a great description.
