Fasig Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearlings Sale

This sale goes from Oct. 23-25th.

If anyone is going, could you please check out hips 583 (colt) and 584 (filly) by David Copperfield and hip 217 (filly) by Easyfromthegitgo? Their first crop are yearlings of 2006 and I was interested in seeing how they looked.

Also, an FYI... hip 217 is by El Prado and out of a half sister to Vindication. Should go for some big $$. :D

I wish I was going....I planned on it because there were a couple of La-breds that I really wanted to look at (a Leestown and a Thunder Gulch), but the timing of that sale SUCKS....I'll already be in Louisville for the BC for 6 days and I just couldn't get away another week before ......sucks

Actually, hip 669 looks interesting. I like Bates Motel as a broodmare sire.

Yeah, and Leestown is the best chance that mare has had IMO, yet that filly Tensas Star (by the ****ty La-bred stud Forty Won) is actually a quality filly and a looker....Realistically, that was the horse I would have gone to the sale for...the Thunder Gulch will be too pricey if it looks like anything individual-wise..

I still may try to go after her over the phone if my friends say she checks out physically....I just hate buying when I'm not present at the sale, although ironically I acquired one of the better horses we've owned that way :D ....usually not a good practice though...

Agreed... although occasionally, you go to a sale and don't even pay attention to the horses going through... :p

Hip 719 also caught my attention. Silver Charm hasn't done much in the shed, but I still like him and IMO, Woodman makes an excellent broodmare sire.

Who wasn't paying attention? .....no need to pay attention when you're not interested...

I definitely wasn't paying attention, that's for sure... but occasionally, you see something that catches your eye that you may not have noticed on paper. There were more interesting things at that sale than the horses. ;)

By the way, what do you think of hip 576?

Seattleallstar 10-18-2006 02:19 PM

I will be there assisting Oracle, taking some time off work.

Seriously? If you guys are there, will you have Mike call me? I'm dying to know what the David Copperfield yearlings look like. I like Easyfromthegitgo as well...

Yep, that was definitely it... nothing better than something domestic, light and cold. :D

Here's hip 576 (dam has one prior foal who hasn't raced yet):

Interesting filly...the damside is full of producers from the fillys that couldn't run, so this filly should have some rsidual value regardless of how she perfroms....plus, obvioulsy Include is off to a great start.....not bad...

nothing better than something domestic, light and cold

BTW, were you talking about me or the beer with this description :D

LOL! That's funny that you said that... I actually had a natty light the other night. NASTY. :p

So what, you want to be considered a lightweight and cold to boot? Why don't we compare you to a shot of Makers Mark? Domestic, medium blend and HOT to swallow. :D

HA! IF that had happened, you wouldn't be asking me that question... I don't play the spitting game. Such a waste of hot liquid. :D

My parents are now going to the sale...

It sucks because I can't get out of school for two weeks in a row to go with them:mad: College now officially sucks.

Oh well, they'll have a great time in KY, and I'll be stuck at home by myself. Uh-oh...party time!!!

Thank you for the visual ;) .....seriously, I've never been to the Crab Shack...those types of joints need to pass the health inspection tests before I visit them....

I prefer dining at Wendy's where I can have the #1 - Biggie-sized, cut the trimmings....

And just who is it that is doing the health inspection? I wouldn't let just anyone "get off" without having proper credentials. ;)
