Summerly-Who is going to buy her?

Grade one winning mares these days go for insane prices. Moreso grade one winning mares on dirt, moreso grade one winning mares of races like the Kentucky Oaks!!!!!! Shes gonna cost a bundle. |
I don't get it....why would somebody fall for her? I mean, you're probably right, but she was a slow horse in a year of slow horses that won more or less by default.
Does actual ability ever come into play or is it only about the names of races horses win? |
Just a wild guess but I will say it will be someone who wears a crescent moon pendant.

Anyone want to take a guess on how much she sells for?
I am guessing 10 million. :) |

$8 million. |

Obviously the ones who are truly fast and well bred bring more cash, but any grade one winning mare is a lottery ticket these days. |
mark me down @ 2mil...she hasn't done sh!t this year.

Isn't speculating pointless without knowing whether Godolphin and Coolmore are interested in her? If they both want her it could turn into a pissing match and she goes for 10 figures. If they don't then someone will pick her up for the "bargain" price of $3 million.

It sucks that she's got Mr. P so close up though. It's getting harder and harder to find stallions without Mr. P and we all know what happens when Mr. P is inbred too close... |

She's running in the BC????????? Somebody should call the ASPCA. |

Then I looked at her breeding and figured she'd get a bit more. Either way, she's too expensive for me! LOL |

It's not easy because there aren't too many....especially restricted ones. That being said, they can call the Kentucky Oaks whatever they want, but she stole that one against a pretty suspect bunch, especially going long and two turns. But, hey, they way money gets thrown around these days its hard to fathom what is reasonable anymore. |
I say 1-2 million.
Does the winner of this guessing game get a prize? |

Lemons is also going through the ring. |
It makes sense to sell these though I would guess it would be easier to just put Lemon's Forever in for a tag.

I'll say $3.6M
|
Do we know if either Lemons or Summerly is currently in foal to someone??? I highly doubt it but you never know.
I saw Summerly goes for about 7mm and Lemons for about 2.7 mm. |

Coolmore or Darley are 8-5 to wind up with her....she is a good broodmare prospect because she is a nice looking mare with a very solid family.....there is an appeal there for the big boys....
I'd say she sells open for $2-$2.5 million...just a guess based on the current market....maybe higher if the big boys really like her and go into a bidding war... |
How did this happen? I log onto Derbytrail and find myself watching "The Price is Right." I'll have to check back in November and find out who had the closest bid without going over.
|
Now I see Sharp Lisa is being sold too. Any other distaffers going straight to auction right after they run their hearts out for their owners? I understand it is a business, but geez. Couldn't they keep them for a bit afterwards. What if one of these fillies wins?
"well folks, this here filly won yesterday and is up for sale today" Isn't that a happy thought? |

I tried to talk my dad into buying her and breeding her to A.P. Indy or Vindication and then reselling her next November in foal.....he laughed at me when I told him it would probably take $2-4 million to get her and maybe more if she runs well in the BC.....:D :D |
