2:26 and change. I've been following racing since Carry Back and watching this is so great. My whole family cheering him on. We're hoping for a chance to see him at Monmouth or maybe Saratoga.
|
that was ****ing incredible. what a flow of positive energy at Suffolk as fans go berserk down the stretch....:)
|
Same thing in the sports book at this Vegas hotel. Lot of cheering as he came home. I think it's a great DAY for racing. Don't think as much for the long term though.
|
So happy the wait is over and congrats to Victor, Baffert and the Zayat's who showed what winning with class is all about.
Hopefully it won't be another 37 years as I don't think I have that much time left. |
Incredible! What a fantastic day and I am SO glad I saw this!!!
|
Phenomenal.
|
I'm so happy i made the trip to Belmont park with my mom and grandmom to see this:D
|
It's too bad he's such a horrible finisher.

speaking of which, he went each quarter
24.06 24.77 24.58 24.58 24.34 24.32 So, in other words, he only slowed down in one quarter mile, going the first to the second. Can't wait to hear the cries that he went super slow early. Fastest last quarter in the race in forty years. |
I videoed my family watching it so my girls (ages 6 and 4) would be able to remember this day. I tried to explain to them that I was only 1 the last time a horse won the Triple Crown. To me, there is nothing better in sports than Thoroughbred Racing and hopefully people were able to grab a hold of a little piece of that today.

Watched it on my phone, so couldn't see the times but when he gave the six f time, I told tony 'he's clicking off twelves'. He said......what? Lol |
Loved it! Great day for all of us who love this game.
|
Cheered him home with my 2yo son in my lap. At 33, I didn't have a TC winner in my lifetime. This bugger is 2 and gets one! Hahaha what a glorious day. Love him or hate him you have to respect him for this moment.

Well, other than birdstone on a certain Saturday in June....:p |
How trilling!! What a wonderful thing to have happen for horse racing. I swear, I feel like the world is different. I've passionately followed this sport for the past 57 years and I'm so friggin happy. :{>:

It was incredible to be there. Watched from the 4th floor North Shore Terrace. Everyone filed out to the seats to watch. No one was sitting. Every aisle was full.
He looked fab in the post parade and the people let him know it. Everytime LC said "American Pharaoh" during the race call, the crowd noise would amp up higher. It looked like he started pulling away on the far turn and the fans started going ballistic. Wall of noise for 3 straight minutes afterwards. People high fiving. Hugging strangers. Met one guy who started with a $250 win bet on AP in the Derby and let the winnings ride throughout the TC. Walked away with some good coin. I was there mainly with foreign visitors and they were treated to a great day of racing. Bill Clinton stopped by the terrace at one point. Made them feel like VIPs. Didn't cash my $2 win ticket. I'll keep it as a memory. Cheers, O |
Great day for racing
|
I am so angry at myself for turning down the chance to buy tickets in March.
That being said I am so happy to see a Triple Crown winner and cash a winning exacta and triple wager too. I was jumping up and down and screaming TRIPLE CROWN from the 3/16th pole to the finish. I am thrilled I was able to watch this with my son. This was an awesome afternon |
