I'm giving it a shot again. Last year I think I lasted all of two days.:zz:

My hazy recollection of last year was that the Survivor contest didn't last very long (perhaps a month or so), but after it was over the Sunday fun competition was started for all of those who had participated in the Survivor contest, and continued weekly until the end of the Portland Meadows meeting.

I should be the leader of this contest with the win yesterday. They have me down for he win but they give me the show payoff. How do i email them? Anyone?

I wrote them a message through their "contact us" window. I hope it reaches the right person.

That would have been the way i would have done it. I don't know other than that. Nice job, keep after them. :)

Cruzan, I think that you are not reading the standings correctly. The column you are referring to is entitled "show winnings". That seems to mean the cumulative total of the show prices of all of the horses you have picked. The win prices are irrelevant. After all, it is a SHOWvivor.

In any event, I don't think that being the leader of a SHOWvivor contest at any point of call means very much. After all, one could be the leader one day and eliminated the next. The total of show winnings does act as a tiebreaker if more than one player gets to the end of the contest, but I just don't see how that could possibly happen. They started with 1202 players and after only 4 racing days are down to 119. At that rate of attrition, my guess is that the contest will be completed long before the end of their racing season.

You have every reason to be proud of having survived to this point. I know that I didn't.:( But, I think that worrying over the interim standings is far less important than simply finding a horse that will let you survive and advance, At least that's my .02 worth.
