Who Is Your Forgotten 3 yr Old?
 

We all have one. Not talked about, damn near forgotten 3yr old whether due to layoff or injury.

Mine: Sweetnorthernsaint- underappreciated for just how consistently fast he is. Had the typical Desorm trip in the Derby(no he wouldn't have won, but not being on that rail he could've hit the board) while bouncing in the Derby. Came back to be a strong 2nd in the Preakness which looks better and better with Bernardini crushing everyone in his path. I think he could be a terrific older horse. He is currently breezing at Laurel.

Sharp Humor, but he's coming back...

Would love to see BD return to his prior form and SNS back on the track.

I would also like to see Stevie Wonderboy and Jazil back as well as Steppenwolfer.

Itty Bitty Pretty...my favorite since I bottle fed her...off since the Oaks...maybe done for good.

Corinthian. Through Mid March at Gulfstream he appeared to be the most impressive 3 year old on the grounds after the FOY (more so than Barbaro's less than stellar Holy Bull and Bernadino had just broken his maiden.

Storm Treasure. Only one win in ten starts, but still... I liked him. :p

Oh yes, Corinthian. I can't believe that I totally forgot about him:o I loved this horse for several reasons. Put him on my list as well.

He was my pick to spice up the exactas in the Derby! Had he got 2nd I'd have been loaded....he didnt :(

Uh.. has anyone seen or heard a peep about Our Golden Song? (Or any of the other 3yo Pletch porcelets that were going to be so imposing this year...?)

I've forgotten more personal 3yo's than I can remember...

I know, mine too. I liked him over Private Vow and he at least finished better than Private Vow. LOL

must be the old age...they have a pill for that you know:p

Steve, My Golden Song cost me in his races at Gulfstream and big time in the Illinois Derby. I still have people ragging on me because I gave him out as a serious Derby contender.

They say, "Hey Gus, how's My Golden Song doing?"

Did everyone see where BD's shoe came flying up in the air and hit Flashy Bull in the Derby. I know that it hurt. Well, I'm sure everyone saw that...

one of my former forgotten 3yo's of past is runnin 2morrow for a 75k tag@belmont......mach speed! hes made me some money at the windows in his older years sometimes ata big price but i was so high on him@age 2. he ran sucha hard race that he won and then 2 weeks back stewart threw him in against the cliffs edge@cd and then the horse wasnt to be seen again till the end of his 3yo season..........in other words they ruined his chances ata derby with their impatience

Doc Cheney ran third at Belmont Saturday in his first race since finishing second in the Dwyer.

The rest are being rehabilitated.

People can have the same one here. Just making sure people realize that.

Ran a couple weeks ago in one of the Calder stakes. Gomez tried him on the grass again although I think he was hoping it was going to get rained off. Still a nice horse but turfing isn't in his bag o' tricks.

He's a closing sprinter....if anything.

High Cotton is alive and quite well. Resting up off being in over his head, still posting workouts, waiting for choice soft spots once again. :o

He stopped by the Barbecue Stand Travers Day, hung out with Paisjpq, Sciacca and Frankel a while... Told a couple of funny stories about Todd and said he was going to Chez Sophie that night with Blackthroat... Haven't seen him since...

Another Darley colt that i think isundefeated but only 2 or 3 races and never ade any of the derby preps for some reason. Barbican.

A lot of the horses mentioned above have at least begun to work out (you can search for them on DRF) and some of them have even raced (Great Point), but not my forgotten 3 year old, BARBICAN.

I believe he is in the Harty division of the sheiks league of horses if anyone has any news on him, it would be much appreciated. :)

AP Warrior is coming back shortly by the way... On the grass with David Flores... Oak Tree Mile I think...
