Weiner Plunges In

Is it an accident, or intentional, or just a happy coincidence, that the Anthony Weiner mayoral campaign gets up just as the Politics room gets . . . rejuvenated?

Now that Weiner is all in, he's getting a lot of suggestions for campaign slogans . . .

Standing Firm for New York

You mean he's trying to erect his career again? A little premature, no?

I'd imagine voters will get the shaft.

Guess he could call himself the cumback kid or something.

Danzig 05-22-2013 11:15 AM

i saw he was running. not sure he has a shot. inserting himself into the running-a good move, or no?
i can't picture him as a likely candidate. but hey, i guess taking a whack at it isn't necessarily a bad thing. has there been enough down time for him to recover?

:D

The only skill the man has is getting himself on the teevee. The Dems didn't stand behind him when the scandal broke because no one could stand working with him. He was a terrible Congresscritter and he'd be a terrible mayor.

I'd like to say he has no shot, but seeing as how South Carolina just elected to the Senate a former governor who visited his mistress on the taxpayer dime, which was found out after he disappeared without telling anyone where he was going, later claiming he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, AND whose ex-wife had a restraining order put on him... well, like they say, we get the gov't we deserve.

When a sitting President gets a blowjob from an intern, shoving a cigar up her arse, shooting his spunk on a dress while in the peoples' office, lying to not only his wife but all of America and Congress, under oath, a trip down south for a State Governor, no one knows, and his mistress seems a bit boring.

Of course look where that sitting President and his 'I'm No Stand by Your Man' wife are today?

Completely shunned by their own party.

The key there, being "No one knows" as in, "No one knows where the Governor has gone, because he didn't tell anyone he was going; he just vanished." I'd call that a lot of things, but boring? No way.

I'm, er, impressed, with the graphic detail in which you describe the Clinton scandal. You obviously spend a lot of time thinking about it. ;) I've missed you Dell, welcome back. :{>:

Perhaps he can give certain State Reps a little of this......

Guess I'm kinda like an elephant. LOL

And still trying to understand the want to stick a cigar up an ass? Something really f'd up there even if the spunk was a pre-mature accident. Not to mention the leader of the free world picking that girl. The whole episode and family seems f'd up. Yet they are respected by many.

Weiner Pissed

Danzig 06-07-2013 11:09 AM

heh heh...

weiner exploded....my god, there are jokes for days for this guy.

but i don't think weiner being puffed up and angry will make him attractive. but then, a flaccid weiner that won't stand up to anyone isn't attractive either... i guess he's in a tight spot. eventually, tho, he'll work his way out of it.

perhaps weiner should get with spitzer, and they could run on a ticket for president and vice president. might not be a winning combo, but it would keep comedians employed for the duration of the campaign.

dellinger63 06-07-2013 11:23 AM

Maybe Bubba could teach him the backdoor cigar trick. That would take focus off the Weiner. Then again negative attention is better than no attention at all and even a bad weiner coming thru the front door is better than a cigar in the backdoor any day. ;)

Danzig 06-07-2013 11:39 AM

i would be more upset (if i were a voter having to consider candidates in that election) at this point with his obvious display of temper. he says he knows he screwed up, that he knows people will bring it up, but he gets mad that they do...
makes no sense.

Maybe it was my catholic upbringing but the desire to stick a cigar up an a$$ is far more disturbing than losing one's temper. At least in my opinion.

Weiner is very sensitive. It doesn't take much to get a rise out of him.

looks like the weiner campaign might be flagging a bit.....new info on pictures rears its head.

anyone surprised? and i thought ron mexico was a bad alias!

'The woman, who told the website she was 22 when she began her correspondence with Weiner, said their online relationship lasted for six months and continued into last summer. She claimed Weiner used the alias "Carlos Danger" for their tawdry exchanges and later asked her to destroy the evidence of their chats.'

He was a useless Congressperson, so I'm grateful for anything to screw up his chance at getting into Gracie Mansion because I don't imagine him being any better as a mayor. That said, someone who is going to keep doing the very thing that torpedoed his career in the first place either has a genuine illness or has the worst judgment-making skills in the world. Either way, do not want running the city.

Then again, maybe you have to be sick in the head to want to run for Mayor of NYC. ;)

On the bright side, the scandal gives us this- generate your own sexting pseudonym!

after all, it might give out my actual alias, and then what would i do? :D

illness might explain 'carlos danger'. i just wonder what someone like him would have done in the days before cell phones? not sure if it's illness or idiocy.

Amazed his wife is going to stay with him. Considering this is the second time in as many years, and after all that therapy. Then again she is the protégé of Hillary 'Stand by Your Man' Clinton.

Pathetic

you have no idea what kind of marriage they have. her decision is none of your business.

You're right, all I know is they went thru a bunch of therapy, she forgave him, he did it again, this time offering a condo in Chicago as a hush bribe, (I presume using family money) and she is still staying by his side.

Her decision to stay with him is none of my business. Doesn't make it any less pathetic.

He can't even be true to his family, how in the hell is he expected to be true to NYC?

Yet here he stands, still running, still married and likely still sending pictures.

I feel bad for her and think she would make a far better candidate for mayor than her husband. WTF does she see in him? Beauty and the pip-squeak.

as for his character, i wouldn't have voted for him before the latest BS came out.

and for my thoughts on 'therapy' in situations like this, see the south park episode where ike and his kindergarten teacher have an affair. sums it up pretty well.

and who knows, she might sit there and watch him do this stuff....
