Has there ever been a field with three former BC Champs, two of whom are undefeated?

The Distaff looks like a real opportunity to get some value. Fillies like Questing and In Lingerie will be double digit odds with the top three taking probably 50% of the pool.

Tapitsfly would be very interesting to me in th turf sprint. Wouldn't want any part of her at 5 furlongs, but 6.5 down the hill could be a different story

If this were the synthetic Breeders' Cup, I'd love In Lingerie.

God I hope Questing is double digit odds in the Breeders Cup.

Meanwhile, another 3-year-old filly, In Lingerie, could make an appearance in the Filly and Mare Turf, despite not having raced on the grass. Winner of last Saturday’s Grade 1 Spinster at Keeneland, she is a multiple winner on Polytrack, a surface on which some turf horses show an affinity.

Aron Wellman of Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, the partnership that co-owns the filly with Gary Barber, said they are keeping the Filly and Mare Turf under consideration, along with the Ladies’ Classic.

She was shipped from Keeneland to Santa Anita on Tuesday and is preparing for the Breeders’ Cup, with her specific Breeders’ Cup race to be determined in the weeks ahead. She could be cross-entered in both races, Wellman said.

I was figuring that the undefeated My Miss Aurelia would be in the group with Awesome Feathers and Royal Delta eating up 50% of the betting pool. I recognize that she did have a 7 pound allowance in the Cotillion but it was only her second start in almost 11 months and clearly Assmussen's target is the BC. I always have to look hard at undefeated runners who get ignored because they are thought to be too slow.

I am going to spread in the multi race bets but the bets on this race individually will need to be dicated by value on the tote.

My Miss Aurelia has quite a large fanbase. I'd be surprised if her odds creeped up above Questing, especially now that she defeated Questing.

It's hard to think of examples when undefeated horses are ignored. Normally, an undefeated horse is the only factor that can overshadow horses with high Beyer Speed Figures.

The Distaff looks like a race where everyone wants to be on or very near the lead....While none of them would necessarily "need" the lead, it seems like it could fall apart, right? Or, do most of them have enough class that this isn't an issue?

With the potential race setup I think Include Me Out has a shot.

In Lingerie - G1 on Poly, G2 on Dirt....Trying to get Graded Turf win? I can't get a good feel for this race...

i almost don't even want to attempt to cap these races b/c the bc marathon race is pissing me off that much, a pointless race and a total crapshoot

What's the consensus on how SA is playing? I haven't dabbled much there this meet, but when I did, I felt like it was a guess as to whether or not the race would fall apart. A lot of the BC races are pretty heavy in early speed too.

With Kauai Katie being entered in the Juvenile Fillies instead of the Juvenile Sprint, I have a feeling that this is a show of non-confidence in Dreaming of Julia. I don't think Pletcher would have opted to take a horse that would have been a heavy favorite in a $500k race and throw her into another race, to face conditions she's never faced before, against much stronger competition, to face another of his own horses who is a very strong contender in the race....if he had confidence in Julia. I could see if it was different ownership but that's not the case here.
