Now we know why he didn't have time to meet with any world leaders...

"The president's obviously got a busy schedule. He has a busy schedule all the time," Carney said

I laughed

So, Hooves and Geeker, did you want President Obama to meet with Ahmadinejad in New York?

You can turn into CSpan tomorrow, and hear Obama's address to the UN, btw. No, he's not there today. But he is there tomorrow. How is that a problem again? What world leaders has he not met with recently, that you think he should be meeting with in New York?

obama going to speak to the un today. i hope some of his comments will address the building tension in asia, between japan and china. there has to be a way to get that dispute taken care of in an equitable way.

OldDog 09-25-2012 08:18 AM

Of course Obama went on the view. He's energized his liberal base, so it was time to shore up the stupid vote.

Just kidding of course. No one should question the sanity of someone from the middle class voting for someone whose policies and past business dealing are in line with the middle class genocide that is going on in this country.

Bob which one on the view is your "go to" girl ?:p

Coach Pants 09-25-2012 10:25 AM

He's being wise.

The election is a mortal lock at this point. Netanyahu is very unpopular in Israel.

You guys are going to be butthurt for the next few months. He's making the right moves, IMO.

Netanyahu is getting snubbed in his own country, by his citizens and fellow elected officials, for his extremism and war-mongering.

 I agree with Coach.

OldDog 09-25-2012 12:54 PM

Give the guy a break. I mean, c'mon.

"If he met with one leader, he would have to meet with 10."
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/...10_653033.html
And he has to meet with people of far greater importance than these.

He held 13 bilateral meetings with foreign leaders at last year’s United Nations General Assembly.

Of course, last year wasn't an elekshun year.

Did you ever stop to think that the President, having been President for four years, has already had multiple meetings with other world leaders over the past two years, and is already in constant regular contact with other world leaders?

Naw. That would be too logical!

OldDog 09-25-2012 01:41 PM

I think it's wonderful that the President of the United States can skip meeting with United Nations member nations' leaders. Economic issues and terrorist attacks are so bor-ing. His time is better spent meeting with the true critical thinkers of our day: Letterman, Whoopi & Joy and the Pimp With A Limp.

I was merely answering your question. I didn't realize it was a set up so you could tsk tsk whoever answered it.

That aside I didn't realize other leaders had to be popular within their own countries to meet with him.

Should I assume the Dalai Lama was unpopular back in 2009 cause that was in astonishingly bad taste, even for Obama.
