First results in: Obamacare is working
Remember that $716 billion Republicans falsely say Obama "stole" from Medicare? (it actually was just reapportioned to strengthen Medicare)
Well, it turns out Obamacare has improved, and is continuing to improve, Medicare exactly as it was designed to do: Quote:
Premiums down Enrollment up New Benefits Lower drug costs http://thinkprogress.org/health/2012...are-advantage/ "Obamacare Strengthened Medicare Advantage To Provide More Low-Income Americans With Affordable Coverage" And Kaiser Family Foundation agrees with that assessment: Quote:

months ago, i said up to 30 million (back when the cbo first started revising their numbers) and was told i was wrong. you know, it's a good feeling when you know you're right-but knowing who will be footing the bill for that crap, i wish i'd been wrong. won't it be great for everyone to be covered? but who will pay for it????? who? they used 6 million when the bill was being put together-that's how they got the original obama-bs-care under the magic trillion dollar price tag that congress demanded...you know, the bipartisan passed bill. dems and reps..but we keep being told that republicans won't work with obama and the dems-and yet this bloated, disgusting THING got passed. :$::$: is why. yes, indeed. health care stocks thru the roof when the thing was upheld by the scotus. everyone....just forget it. go stock up with vaseline, ky, or whatever lube you prefer. cause we're all about to take it up the you-know-what. |

Truthfully if I have X amount of time to screw around I'll do a quickie, sometimes pick one thread to look at down here and leave it till later or leave it completely alone if I can stand that. Wasn't attacking her, just bringing it up. I'm not really thrilled with Federal employees breaking the law but maybe that's just me. Okay have fun. |
My premiums are up. Of course or curse in the new Amerika healthy is bad!

However, rest assured, right now, that if your insurance company doesn't spend at least 80% of that premium dollar on your health care, you will get a rebate, thanks to Obamacare. 12 million Americans already got the first rebate this year first week of August. Right now, you, Dell, and everyone else here, have the following great benefits from Obamacare: - You can no longer be kicked off your insurance for reaching a lifetime dollar cap - You can never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition. - Your out-of-pocket medical expenses are capped. - If you are single and make less than $43,320 a year, you will be eligible for assistance to purchase insurance on exchanges if necessary - If you own a small business, you are except from providing insurance to your employees; if your company is more than 50 employees, you qualify for a tax credit for offering insurance to them. - There is a new Consumer Assistance Office to help you file a complaint or appeal a decision from your insurance company. - Insurance companies can no longer make excessive rate hikes; those doing so may be barred from participating in the exchanges. - If you have children age 26 or less, they can stay on your family insurance. - Your parents have had the Medicare Part D "donut hole" closed, and now they pay only 25% of drug costs up to $4550, and only 5% of drug costs above that. Republicans want to take all the above current benefits away, and vow to repeal it January 2013. |

Just for laughs. I don't know which of the 2 sources you quoted is worse. |

Perhaps, instead of changing the subject to a distracting straw man that has nothing to do with the performance of Obamacare, you can stick to the subject, and instead give a source that shows the measured facts are somehow wrong? Just for laughs. Or you can stick with, "Obama Sucks!" as a rebuttal. |
The only fact I know is that my insurance went up.
I freelance and have paid for my kids and for myself for years. Those are my truths. I said google it because I'm not going to pretend I knew any of it. I'm not trying to change the subject, only commenting of the sources you used. Honestly I don't even care. |

Get with the program  |
I'm not going to stress over Obamacare.
I have a feeling things might work out. The flaws will be corrected and if they aren't then you will start seeing a rise in health care facilities and doctors who won't accept any form of government healthcare. And you will see a few wise insurance companies offering indemnity, critical illness, short term health, and the like. Change will be good. Obama is getting reelected so we just need to toughen up and make the best of it. The more I think about the guy the more I'm starting to believe he might not be the worst thing to ever happen in the universe. :D |

http://www.factcheck.org/2012/07/big...se-in-history/ There’s no question that the package of taxes and other revenue-raisers that the law contains constitute a large increase. The most recent estimate from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation puts the total for more than a dozen different tax increases and other “revenue-related provisions” at $675 billion between now and 2022. 'usually it's hard to catch slick politicians in a lie'. no, it's not! it's easy. if/when their lips move, they're lying. |
It remains sad to see that, 2 years after this law was passed, with all the information available at one's fingertips, as many times as law has been discussed here, people are still so frankly, completely ignorant of how it works.
Are the exchanges up yet? Hello? Anybody? Anybody whining here about price have any remote idea whatsoever of what is controlling their insurance companies premium price right now? And how that will change? And what importance the exchanges will play in that? Yeah. Though so. Bitching for the hell of it is easy. Becoming educated take responsibility and is hard - and god forbid reality goes against anybody's preconceived notion of the lies they were told during an August three years ago. Once again, for those blaming the wrong people for their current insurance rate: Here is the website http://www.healthcare.gov/law/index.html If you think everything from the government is a lying, giant conspiracy, yeah, you're probably better off just reading World Net Daily for your "news", and assembling guns and food for the end of the world. I can probably hook you up with a survivalist or two out west if you need it for the Rapture, or Armageddon, or The Second Coming Of Obama. If you do not believe that, try reading the "timeline". |

* * * First off (Riot, not Geekie)... smug enough? Really who are you to come off so condescending? It's very Obamaesque acting haughty and having the probable soiled kitty litter expression like he does half the time. Second, this is ****ing hilarious. To make your point are using a website run by Health and Human Services? You mean were right back to that idiot Sebelius who, if this were another administration, would be canned for her extemporaneous remarks? There's a reason for the Hatch Act. Give me a break. Have a nice day starting 20 thousand threads about important issues like Granny booing Ryan, etc. Did you lose a bet or something cause I do not have so little respect for you that I assume you have nothing better to do (that was unclear. I'm sure you have better things to be doing is what I'm saying). Honestly it's starting to seem like some people are just out and out brainwashed. I don't get it. Oh and I wasn't bitching. There is nothing I can do. One of my kids was watching Fast Five the other evening and I came in right at the part where the richest man in Brazil (and the most corrupt) is explaining to a group why people in Brazil speak Portuguease. He tells them the Spaniards came with weapons and were violent but the Portuguese? They came with gifts. Did the masses want to continue to receive the items that they had never seen before and wanted and were given or did they want to rise up against the Spaniards? So yeah I'm not bitching. Mr. Obama can give out all the food stamps he wants. The middle class can continue to get ****ed up the ass. We can be bullied, told what to eat, what insurance to have, have the government in parts of our lives that are a little too Big Brother for my liking but whatever. Change lol. All people like me can do is hope to God that if Romney is elected he will have more success than this clown has and if not that who(m)ever is elected in four years can begin to fix things. You go and enjoy living in Delusionland. Have fun. Oh and yeah I know, I know... now I'm a racist, right? Whatever. This is a waste of time. |

However, seeing you didn't do that, we'll go with this and just answer you back in your own style: Just following your expert lead. You should stick to calling the First Lady a "Nazi Buffoon" - that puts your self-rightous pearl clutching here over "condescending" in focus. And puts your statement that, "Honestly it's starting to seem like some people are just out and out brainwashed." into the pointing-fingers-at-the-hypocrite laughable category. In other words, we are not laughing with you, we are laughing at you, dear. As for the deliberate denial of facts and repetition of factual falsehoods (versus opinion) ... well, those that do that here - day after day, year after year - shouldn't whine when their repeated and unending factual mendacity is pointed out. That behaviour gets very tiresome for the rest of us, who want to debate actual issues here - not imaginary fantasies and feeding their ridiculous Obama Derangement Syndrome of hate. Take it back to WND and The Blaze. Of course, if you really believe "Obama hands out food stamps", those are probably too intelligent of a website for you. |
