How bout a first hand account of what really happened?

Coming back from dewey beach, de to ocean city, md at like 9AM on coastal hwy. I’m thinking no traffic I’ll be there in 20, WRONG. I ran into a MF’ing triathlon along the way. Every 5 or so miles we go from 2 lanes to 1, and we sit idle for like 20 minutes each time, I got these high on life sumbitches flying by me on the side of the road with their 12-speeds and I’m sitting flat footed waiting for traffic to open again. I’m looking at my gas and I’m like “I’m good, I got like another 25+ miles”, WRONG. I didn’t take into account the hour or so the bike was sitting there idling, so I’m whaling along around 65mph and it just starts to sputter, great, what did I blow now. Did not think it was the gas at all initially, went to start it again, dead dead, I mean dead, open the gas tank, give it a shake, I don’t hear one f*cking splash.

OK, dignity time. I can either park my bike on the side of the road and walk into town, not knowing where/if there’s a gas station near, or, I can swallow my pride and push it, keep in mind it’s bike week in DE/MD at this time. So I’m pushing it, and bikers are flying by I can only imagine how hard they were laughing at me, a couple women sitting on the back of bikes looked back and either smiled or laughed at me. *for the record, if a BIKER did pull over and ask me if i needed some help or what was wrong i would have been like "na i'm good bro, i think i blew a pistong or something", i'll be damned if i was gonna be like "yeah can i get a lift i ran out of gas". So, I make it into town, and it’s starting to get hot, I’m at an intersection and the bike is on the grass, this old couple from Bmore pulls up in a Mercedes suv and a women peers her head out and says “do you need some help?”. The rest is history, they drove me to the gas station, waited for me to buy a gas tank and gas, drove me back, and went on their way.

It was so embarrassing I had to write about it.

Yeah. Oaklawn ain't happening.

1. I can't even get a flight into Hot Springs from Roanoke. I would have to fly into Little Rock, which is 1 hour from Hot Springs.

2. I can get a direct flight round trip ticket to Tampa AND rental car for the week, cheaper than what the flight alone will cost to Little Rock.

Wow, no sympathy for a guy who had salmonella posioning and needed two bags of IV a day after he got home from Tampa (while not complaining once on the entire trip). I'm so happy I f.ucked you good when I parred 18 while teeing off from the whites.

By the way, when are you coming to Freehold, you can stay in Michaels room.
