Aww thanks for posting that. So sweet watching her lick the little guy. He seems to be going "Ick, geez mom. Not in front of everybody!" She's already embarrassing him in public. :p I realize it's just him trying to stand, but it made me smile.

That really is a great photo, Zenyatta looks so relaxed and content, I'm really hoping the colt becomes a star, call me corny, I love the big mare. :)

Just last night I mentioned how I was closing in on making a 10 and when I picked up the dice, I said "this one's for Zenyatta!" as I threw them. I made it with that roll.

I will now dedicate all the rolls from my next hand of Craps to Zenyatta's baby colt.

I'm too cheap to ever make a bet on any hardway.

$5 on the pass and $50 in the back at no house edge...takeout ends up being like 0.20% or so.

If you play for about 30 minutes you get enough comps for free drinks and baskets of clam strips.

The rake is so tiny and the comps are so decent that if you just take the pass line and 10X in the back ... it works out that you're basically paying a reasonable price for your comped drinks and food and you get to gamble for free at zero house edge.

Almost everyone else at the table takes sucker bets where the takeout is 5% to 17%.

Nothing wrong with gambling for free... sure, you're buying the "free" food and drinks ... but you have to eat and drink anyway.

At Turning Stone if your just sitting at a blackjack table you will get all the meal comps you ask for. $30 rooms on weekends if you play anything for $150 and up. Great comp at that place.

You are still reliant on dice though.

Yeah but with that bet you're going against the roller and usually crap tables are overflowing with losers. It's a good way to make money and be a troll at the same time.

I used to play at the Horseshoe casino in Vegas - now renamed to just "Binions". Under the old management, the limit was 100x odds. And at some tables, the minimum line bet was 50 cents.

You could play 50 cents on the line and 50 dollars in back.

Benny Binion, the original founder is quoted as having said "If everyone bet at full odds, we couldn't keep the lights on in this place."

Aside from comps, it's easy to get your money's worth in ice cold beer at a 50 cent minimum table. Good times. That Vegas of the past is long gone though.

I would like those numbers. I never drink when I play though, craps is like a job for me at this point. Best I have found is 8,9,10x odds anywhere lately.
