Need help at Presque Isle!

I like the timing of this tracks races but can't find the range.

Where can I get some good info? Where is Doug? I can't find anything from him.

This is what I find useful for finding the range.

Just wait until the races are over...then he'll give you all the info you want. ;)

Tough crowd.

You can find my brilliance in the cities only paper ... which beat out the Philly and Pittsburgh fish wraps when voted PA Newspaper of the Year in 2009 -- my picks and occasional columns put them over the top in the voting that year.

15 minutes to the 3rd now. Here's the rest of tonight:

Race 3 (7-1-3-5)

Race 4 (1-2-6)

Race 5 (2-7-3-5)

Race 6 (5-4-1)

Race 7 (7-1-4)

Race 8 (3-1-11)

Jesus you defintely need help, you used to sound like me. You need help especially if you are playing Tuesday races from Presque Isle.

My motto used to be play everything I can because someone has to win, and why cant it be me

Calzone Lord 08-23-2011 05:21 PM

Tuesday is by far and away the best day to bet PID -- they card the toughest races with the biggest fields on Tuesday -- and they take A LOT of TVG money ... they handle better on Tuesday than any other day during the week.

The cards are TOUGH on Tuesday. Shippers galore -- surface switches galore.

I knew I was opening a can of worms! Thanks for the info. I went to their website but couldn't find them. Too much high school football and kids racing shitbox stockcars on 1/4 ovals.

I tell them to hide my picks in a super secret location on the website so it protects my ROI.

WTF?

I wouldn't know a win if it paid $2.80 or $44

2-for-6 top-pick with the winners paying only $5.20 and $4.40 -- that type of performance gets you heckled in Erie.

That big Inside-Speed bias wasn't there at all at PID tonight to say the least. Had it been -- it would have carried my pace setters in the 3rd and 4th home.

The horse in the 3rd was completely loose turning for home -- and wasn't running any real strong pace numbers to do it -- and he got absolutely swallowed in the final furlong.

I'm still trying to make a case for the winner in the last. The Beyer par was 58 and two horses that had never run that number in their life finish 1-2

Everyone else in the entire fields last fig was 6 points below par for the class level. So it was a below par type race for the class level on paper.

If you're looking for reasons why those two might have improved -- the winner in the last got a significant jock switch to the best rider here and more importantly -- he's a one dimensional closer and this track today was as friendly to closers as it's been pretty much all season.

The 2nd place finisher simply got a loose lead for the first time all year.

As for making a case for them -- neither one had a case going in. They just ran their best and the others didn't.

My bankroll has been taking a beating. I needed a helping hand and boom!! Just like that I walk out of the OTB with a wad off cash. Best day I had in weeks!

Thanks again.

Is it something offensive? I am just curious to know what they bet, how they played it and thier reasoning behind it. I havent hit a "big" score but a lot of people here have. No one seems to respond on what they played but merely say " I won a lot of money today." Is it supposed to be secret?

Yes, it's a secret.

They call themselves The Redboarder Club, and contrary to their name, their secret agenda is to expose, villify and then burn alive anyone who discusses a big hit!

They take their positions very seriously. It's like the Knights Templar club, but more zealous.

:)

I was on the train, coming home from work wothout a form. Limited time to study and needed someone to help. I was looking for these picks at the papers website and couldn't find them.... Walked into the OTB with this thread on my Blackberry. Threw in $20 WP on the 5 and a $10 straight tri 5-4-1. Not a BIG score but exactly what I needed.

Yes this is a redboard1 phuck it!

3kings 08-26-2011 08:50 AM

Hey Calzone lord I'm taking a few first timers to the OTB tonight and was hoping you could post your picks for tonight. They will be looking for some guidance and this may help them. I looked on the website but? Thanks.

Calzone Lord 08-26-2011 01:06 PM

Incredibly competitive card tonight. Every top pick is 7/2 or higher on the ML. More than a few shaky favorites. Good luck.

Race 1 (6-7-2)
Race 2 (7-4-2)
Race 3 (4-1-7-9)
Race 4 (2-6-4)
Race 5 (4-2-3)
Race 6 (10-6-9)
Race 7 (3-7-5-1)
Race 8 (7-3-2)

Calzone Lord 08-26-2011 02:41 PM

Tomorrows card is a joke and the favorites are mostly strong.

All short fields and terrible betting races. I only have one horse over 3/1 on the ML picked on top tomorrow...and there are a few bad lines. I'll probably have six or seven eventual post time favorites as top pick.

I had about six different people I barely know come up to me and thank me for it.

They have these 50-cent trifectas here. So, these crazy people box the numbers in the tri for a grand total of $3. One guy, at least had it for a buck on a $6 ticket .. high-roller he is.

I've had more than a few cold exactas of top pick over second pick pay over $200 this meet. Yet, maybe two or three people will say something to me.

Yet when one of these stupid tri's come in boxed and pay over $500 for a buck they act like it was brilliant or something.

People who box trifecta bets are complete morons. Another weird thing that happened here today .. all 3 of my picks in race 6 were scratched. First time I ever remember a race where I took 3 and all of them scratched!

My top pick won 6 out of 8 races today ... none paying more than $7.60 to win.

I also hit the Pick-6 at PID today.

There was over 4K in the carryover today -- and the P6 is a 50-cent bet here. So -- that's like a 16K carryover at most places.

They bet just $1,151 in todays P6 Pool (more than $200 of that was me) -- and there was six winning tickets.

The stupid thing paid $694 for 50-cents.

I was 1st and 2nd in race after race. All of them were in the bag turning for home. Such short fields and mis-matches. I could have probably hit the damn thing with a $5 ticket.
