Obama back to his roots.

DUBLIN — It has been eight years since Barack Obama was relegated to the back end of the St. Patrick's Day parade through downtown Chicago but he still remembers it.

Come back to this year's St. Pats Day parade Mr. President. I'm sure your friend Rahm can set you up with him in the car right behind the Daley's. Madigan's and Burke's. Fourth in line isn't that bad. Maybe fifth if Bill Murray shows ;)

BTW leave the toilet plunger and choir robes at home. The Chicago irish are known for their masonry, painting, police, fire and bar owning skills not janitorial. They probably put you last because of the way you and your group showed up and presented yourselves. Like a bunch of clowns!

Guess nascar was right with the O'bama

LOLOLOL!!

How can people keep defending this guy? There's over 100 people dead in Joplin and this f.ucking clown goes to Ireland for what? Yeah you're part white dude we get it.

jms62 05-24-2011 10:39 AM

Welcome back.

Princess Doreen 05-24-2011 10:53 AM

AW - so now I get it with the label of Black Irish?!~

Jeez, this is worse than Clinton writing stone symbols in the sand at Normandy Beach with a pile of stones that just conveniently showed up.

Antitrust32 05-24-2011 11:49 AM

I dont get it. What's the big deal that you guys are making?

He must have been easy to spot though in Ireland. I was there for 4 months and saw a total of 4 black people. Two African imigrants that could not have had been in Ireland very long at all, and two African American men who were over there playing Euro basketball.

It's basically 99.99% white catholic in the Republic of Ireland.

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:00 PM

I don't get it either. I just want to know what the minimum death total should be in order for a President to not take a photo op trip?

Is it about 3000 like 9/11? Does it matter where the deaths happen and how? Are the flyover states forgettable and can be handled with a photo op days later?

But man it's just pure hate of the guy. It's racism. It can't be people are fed up with these fake motherf.uckers.

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:02 PM

14.3 trillion in debt and we expect people on the verge of financial collapse to not put a trip to florida on the credit card?

Why can't they? Our President is doing it on our f.ucking dime. Yeah we have some change we can believe in.

they are all fake. It's a requirement to run for public office. You must be fake.

He's just one guy. What was he supposed to do? Everything he does people will find wrong in.

I'm not going to criticize the man over things that are not in his control. I'll focus my criticism on things that actually went through his hands, like the Obamacare wreck, Stimulus crap, etc.

Riot 05-24-2011 12:07 PM

George W Bush took more vacation days in Crawford than any other President, ever. He vacationed on our dime, while this country crashed. Nobody said a word.

The current Republican congress had their schedule changed by John Boehner, they are off one week out of three. They have introduced multiple bills restricting abortion rights, yet what jobs bill have they introduced? They play with social takeovers while this country languishes in a slow recession recovery. I don't see anyone here much complaining.

These attacks on Obama for doing his job and traveling while being President are petty and ridiculous.

some things will never change.

The funny thing is the Democrats who hated bush so much but support obama. He's basically exactly like Bush fiscally with some added steriods. And he is very similar to Bush as a commander in chief, minus the whole Iraq fiasco.

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:08 PM

Acceptance because of tradition is madness.

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:09 PM

Gee I wonder why he's like Bush? Even Dick Cheney is in his family tree.

Barry Soetoro the champion of world government.

its absolutely hilarious that Dems think that Bush wasnt working when he was at the ranch. Harry Truman was in Key West for 175 days during his presidency. Do you think he wasnt working also?

if you want to bring up the ranch and act like Bush wasnt doing any work when he was there, then it will be hypocritical of you to bash people for saying Obama golfs too much.

It's all superficial, simplistic and ridiculous, and ignorant of what Presidents do on a daily basis, day in and day out.

I have accepted the fact that whoever is president will vacation and travel on our dime, as long as America is around.

what are you refering to by "it's"

because your reply didnt seem to have anything to do with my post.

Antitrust32 05-24-2011 12:18 PM

are you saying a President has to be sitting at his desk in the Oval office to be able to work?

There are no secure phone lines at a Ranch in Texas?

No. I was agreeing with your post. They obviously work when they are not in Washington. The Presidency is where the President is. Attacking a President for not being in Washington, for not being in the country, for traveling the world, is petty and ridiculous.

so why do you always remind us that Bush "vacationed" at a ranch in texas? i just find it hypocritcal.

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:22 PM

And when they are working they even take group photos where they all look at a television with a dropped satellite feed.

Because the truth is secondary to a good photo op.

For all we know they could of been watching...

I am trying to point out the hypocrisy of those that bash Obama, but didn't bash Bush for being the President who vacationed more than any other (and don't even know that our Congress is hardly in session any more)

Coach, I don't think this one is totally on Obama. I do blame the media and the huge role that they play in everything. Look at the coverage and relief efforts for New Orleans. Now compare that to what seems like the lack of coverage relief efforts for the floods/tornados crippling the South now. Not saying that New Orleans wasn't a horrible situation, but don't forget those people had warning and could have gotten out.

Here is a video (that might have been posted here) of the floods in Tennesee last year. Where was the coverage/relief efforts and benefit concerts for these poor people?

Antitrust32 05-24-2011 12:34 PM

O'Bama seemed to be geniunely enjoying his stay in Ireland. He actually seemed a bit tipsy when he was giving his speech, but I'm sure half the people in the crowd were drunk by then.

Ireland is really wonderful. If anyone who is not a recovering alcoholic has a chance to visit there... go for it. Those 4 months were some of the best in my life.

Absolutely...it's necessary to travel, called diplomacy and every President does it. Being President of the United States is the most demanding job there is and I'll never be critical of our President for taking a little "down time"...there are huge difference in opinion between Obama's supporters and Republicans, one would think there is plenty to rail against other than petty crap like this!

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 12:38 PM

Now that he's President it's become apparent to me that he is one of the most aloof people on the planet. He doesn't show much emotion when the teleprompter is off.

He's a true narcissist.

oh my gosh that is funny.

the only difference is that you think you are better than the others.

really, when it comes down to it, there are no differences. the dems were equally as bad about railing against petty crap when Dubya was president.

I always find this line funny. Where are dirt poor families with no money and no transportation supposed to go?

Joey, I was always under the impression that the government provided transportation for people to get out.

Katrina is a little different than a tornado. Just a little. Lets see how FEMA reacts to the next earthquake and/or massive hurricane.

I fully understand that, but my point is about the way the media covers things and the perception that the public gets from the coverage. Just like the video I posted.

I agree...I never criticized Bush for vacations, his perceived poor college grades or any other trivial crap, when I opposed him it was his politics. As I've said many times, I'm not a big fan of Obama's politics either but the "Obama hate" present on this board and throughout our society today is malignant. Speaking out against his policies is one thing, the constant conspiracy theories and personal attacks is another....and this "I think I'm better" crap is a cop out, I'm expressing my views exactly the same as others...

Coach Pants 05-24-2011 01:43 PM

His inner circle spent $2 million on the birth certificate. He deserves nothing but skepticism.

Riot 05-24-2011 02:19 PM

That Obama "Spent 2 million covering up the birth certificate" is a long-disprove lie - check out Snopes or Politifact.

That figure is simply the total amount of all legal fees for the couple years duration of the campaign. Pretty typical of all candidates.

dellinger63 05-24-2011 08:42 PM

Bush didn't give the citizens of Crawford a fat check like Obama always does when traveling and Bush saved money on hotel, room service, etc etc by visiting HIS home. That he pays taxes on. Obama sponges off of donors and pays em off for use of their homes via company check. Us and in U.S. taxpayers. Huge difference once again.
