I think it's terrible. All the speed will be inside him and he could lose a lot of ground on the first turn and he can't afford to do that.

I believe they're drawing posts like they would any other race, it's just that this one is painfully televised. There's no selection order or anything like that.

There's a lot they can do to make it more exciting or interesting. And if they insist on keeping it that dull, then don't bother trying to televise it or promote it. Just do it in 5 minutes and move on with it.

Wow. Ok. But you kept watching. I think it served it's purpose. If someone can tell me how pulling a number out of a plastic bottle and then assigning a horse to it can be more exciting then please do. It's pretty standard stuff.

by using cut aways and other "movie magic"...there's shows about freaking grocery shopping on tv that draw ratings...ANYTHING can get attention if promoted well
