Kyle Busch because he's so good, and a lot of people don't like him because he's so good.

Black 3's good with me!

Rusty Wallace was the last of the breed......When interviewed after one of his last wins was asked, "What are your plans?" his response was " I'm sponsored by Miller Lite for Christ's sakes, what do you think I'm gonna do??!!... No one will drive, of course"

none all hicks who run around in a circle!
None their all idiots! Nascar is a frickin joke! You must be really bored to watch cars go around a circle all day. The drivers are boring all this getting along crap not to mention you have idiots who crash cars on purpose. Seriously this so-called sport is losing ratings and hopefully espn and the rest will drop it soon. Not to mention they make you pay for 3 races what a crock.

I was in Charlotte with P&G in the late 80's when they got involved with Rick Hendrick and Winston Cup racing just as the popularity started to soar. We had Buddy Baker and Tim Richmond to start with, and then of course Darrell Waltrip came aboard. The P&G hospitality tent catering at many races (Charlotte, Darlington, Martinsville, N. Wilkesboro, etc.) was my responsibility during the great season Tim Richmond and Harry Hyde put together in the Folgers car in 1986. Everything you've ever heard or read about Richmond can't accurately portray how bigger than life he was.
![]() So to answer the question, my favorite 'Winston Cup' driver of all time is the late Tim Richmond. RIP. For those that may not know, the Cole Trickle, Harry Hogge, car dealership kingpin Tim Daland (Randy Quaid) story in 'Days of Thunder' is that of Richmond, Hyde and Hendrick. Of the other drivers I got to watch and be around a bit, I'd say Harry Gant was my second favorite. Morgan Shepherd was a guy easy to root for too.. ![]() |
