My Mom was detained at the airport in Vegas just now

No shiat. Got a text from my stepdad just a little while ago. She became irate when they asked her to do the "search". He is on the other side waiting on word, and yes they will have to catch another flight to South Carolina. She is literally detained.

I told them it would be the ultimate Griswald type family Vegas vacation lol..;)

Not only is prisonplanet.com a great freaking name for a website, it's a great website as well.

I will never understand the people that deny a search.....its for your own safety...Just pisses me off because it is that much harder to carry a couple of joints.

still no word other then she was not "irate" but rather "defensive" of her personal "stuff". this is taking its toll on both of them now, it's obvious from a distance thru the words my stepdad is using. My mom is 5'8" 120 lbs lol with no criminal anything.

trackrat59 11-29-2010 07:48 PM

Good luck to Mom and Dad. Especially Mom.

I fly a lot for work. I'm happy to be searched and I hope everyone else on the plane with me gets searched too. When I'm sitting up there in that plane I would like to think I'm safe.

The TSA don't mess around. If people don't want to be searched don't fly. The last thing I would do is mess with the TSA. Not a socially acceptable thing to do now a day.

does she bring her vibrator on vacation with her?

seriously though, I don't mind the added security measures. It makes me feel safer when flying

The right of the people to be secure in their person, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particulary describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

cabvmd 11-30-2010 10:14 AM

I fly all the time as well.

If you go to the airport early enough so extra security time does not cause you to miss your flight it has got to be worth it to may be catch one of these crazies, but I still do not feel that safe when I see TSA screeners gabbing or yawning while they watch the X-ray TV.:(

After 9/11 happened our "leaders" got on the tube an professed that the terrorist will not change the American way of life. Wrong again all you idiots in the government. The American way of life is slipping away faster than the people realise. The Patriot act, illegal serch and seizure and detainment, wire taps. Giving the treasury away to white collar criminals, people losing jobs and homes. All this from FEAR MONGERING by our "elected officials" was a result of "terrorist acts" What big banks right here in the USA are funding the terrorists???? :$::confused:

A friend sent me this
Taking Flight:

The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners at the airports.

It’s an armored booth you step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person.
Israel sees this as a win-win situation for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It will also eliminate the costs of a long and expensive trial.

You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter, an announcement: "Attention standby passengers — we now have a seat available on flight 6709. Shalom!"

I believe they may have something here.:tro:
