Hannon Doesn't Like America
**** You.
Hannon, who has stayed home in England, was quoted on his website (richhardhannonracing.tv) Oct. 28 as saying: “America is not for me. I’ve tried it twice and didn’t like the place, so I will leave it to Richard Jr. (his assistant) and (jockey) Richard Hughes to bring home a fistful of dollars.” http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...-is-not-for-me |

1. Fly him over here 2. Make him wear a redcoat 3. Put him in a field 4. Stab him repeatedly with a pitchfork |
It's nice that he's sticking up for his stable workers but he comes off as a real douche.
|
I just can't understand why America want let my gallop boy in the country, whom we gave phony/bogus name.
|
He needs to post here. There are a few in the politics sub-forum that would have a smashing good time. Indeed!
|
Doesn't seem to realize he'd be speaking German without this country. But that's ok. Goldi will destroy him anyway

Good for him for not coming.... the dumber part when I read this yesterday was the jockey for Paco Boy possibly not coming for the Breeders Cup because he wants to compete for a riding title that he's five wins back of.

Does it get any more exciting than this?! |
I did wonder if "Elvis" (oh how the US Immigration folks love their aliases) came from the Kashmir region under dispute by India and Pakistan. That would send up all kinds of red flags.
As obnoxious as I thought his remarks were, it's not hard to understand why Hannon might be upset with us purely from how his horses ended up doing here so we can only hope he's projecting. It sure sounds personal which I didn't appreciate. 2 DNFs, 1 of them a breakdown/euthanization, and another up the track finish from the one who did cross the line. |

Yes, it's an English phrase, so you might have a hard time finding it |

I have a very good reason for making it too |

I don't hear you bitching when American trainers don't want to go to England. Wesley Ward had a pretty good trip a couple of years ago, when he actually travelled to my little Country. I guess you saved our racing industry as well. Yahoo |
I cant believe where this thread went. All the man said was that hes been here and doesnt like it, he is more than entitled to his opinion. No need to read more into what he said. His loss if he doesnt like it here, as for the Indian stable lad what the hell do you expect if he doesnt even have a proper name.

LOL at Hughes. Is it his decision or his agent? Do they not know how to read past performances? Have they forgot they came damn close to beating Goldikova THREE times?
Fine. Let an American based rider take the mount. |

Your TKO Foreign Relations Directorship is in serious jeopardy. Is that why you root for the "New" England Patriots? |
For what it's worth Ryan Moore is an upgrade to Richard Hughes, no big loss.

Oh, and by the way, Britain does require documents for immigrants, even those from former Commonwealth countries. 'Elvis' would not be in Britain without having those in order. The trainer may not know the guy's proper name, but I'll bet his bookkeeper, who makes out the staff paychecks, knows it. |

Hey remember when he lost the Youmzain mount for the Arc and... oh wait I don't want to sound like TFM so nevermind. :D Moore is a great jock. |

FWIW - Hannon had triple bypass surgery this week...that is really why he isn't here.
