Ward Firster Impressive At Kee
Board said she was ready but that was a really nice effort after breaking dead last and being 6 wide.
|
It really was impressive on many levels. I look forward to her next start in 2012.

Why is it hard for people to include details in a post when they describe a nice debuter?

speaking of paulsen, madeline (paulsen) pickens just bought a bunch of land in nevada for mustangs, so that they won't be held by the govt any more. good move on her part i thought. she said she's looking into buying more to move more horses.

The Henny Hughes at Belmont might have been as if not more impressive. Totally dead on the board and (I think) the first Darley two-year-old winner in the U.S. this year. Should be a fig in the high 80s.

She won her debut at Kee in April by 8 lengths going 4.5f in a pretty fast time. |

Thought that's what I saw at first asking. Could care less what the time was that day...Came back today and drowned them for fun.

The time was not that great today either but she couldn't have done it any easier.

I could be very wrong but how often do Ward horses string together many good races or seasons in a row? I am trying to think of many that flashed brilliant early show of speed and then did I see them the following year or years?
