8/13: Saratoga (Day 19-Hall of Fame)

Hit the early P4 Thursday for 'real money', and enjoyed one of those good kinds of days that are necessary at a meet like Saratoga to build the bankroll. Best Value 2nd choice Valiant Passion was usable in the MSW 2nd race at 15-1 with Ralph Nicks adept at sending babies out ready. When she went off at 30-1, the $63.00 win mutuel was a gigantic bonus and led to the boffo P4. Two obvious chalks followed the tote explosion ahead of $20.20 Al Stall trainee Heritage Hall, who flew home late in the 5th and delivered the best of the 4 possible winning outcomes for the ticket at $1.971.50. P3's within the sequence were nice as well, with the 2nd-4th returning $257.00 and the 3rd-5th $96.50. Missed the late P4 because King Andrew failed to get by Surfing Ian in the 7th, but the day was a good one and I know a number of ATR listeners and Derby Trailers were riding along... Hope all did well!

Can't see what might be screwed up about them... unless my opinion is just bad.

Good luck.

Steve- I think they are referring to you have the race numbers listed as 7-10 on your pick 4 selections instead of 6-9...

To steal the Dos Equis line- Stay Hot my friend..

tmpg2000 08-13-2010 09:56 AM

The numbers of the races are incorrect. I believe it should be
6
7
8
9

No... And no. (I spread my love very selectively.)

Both OK though and I wouldn't talk anyone off using them...

Thx Team! Was a 'grind it out' kind of day and was lucky to get the one $$ into the quad sequence to boost the wampum. Glad so many were on board.. There were at least 7-8 on track patrons who played along including my godson Sammy at the Barbecue. Made it a fun afternoon. Let's have a big weekend! Back on at @ 4a to lay out the thoughts for tomorrow's quirky card.

'night and thanks for the kind wishes!

Steve...Excellant Job. Saratoga is your wheelhouse.

satan's twin 08-13-2010 09:38 PM

OK Steve-Now you're just showing off.

I walked into Arlington just before the 8th was going off at Saratoga. With the usual array of pigs lined up for the fourth race at Arlington, I turned to your selections instead for a wager at Saratoga.

1. Boxed your four selections on a $2 exacta
2. Boxed your four selections on a $2 trifecta
3. Boxed your four selections on a $1 super

$2375.00 today after $1971 pick-4 yesterday thanks to my new best friend.

I don't know what you put in that bar-b-q sauce, but save some for the Travers weekend.

AND FOR CHRISSAKE. KEEP SHOWING OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MaTH716 08-14-2010 07:07 AM

The Byk train is officially rolling. Great job again Steve. Good Luck keeping it moving today.

Barney,

Congratulations and thanks... I'm not embarrassed to say how much I love to hear this as I take great pleasure and pride in readers/listeners doing well off the opinions. As I wrote in today's Selections, you and 'Rogo' both boxed up that 8th and scored out, and a bunch of on track patrons came to the 'Cue during the P4 sequence excited that we were staying alive and had the $30 horse involved. It enhances the experience here for me immensely...

Good luck today and for the second half of the meet!

Thanks fellas... Appreciate the encouragement as it helps drive me when the days get long and early mornings pile up here. Today is the halfway point and I hope people are now into a good rhythm playing the Spa. Happy to help be a roadmap for the action!

I'm getting very close to saving myself a great deal of time (and money) by forgetting my own futile attempts at handicapping and instead, simply playing the Byk picks at Saratoga.

Congrats on two BIG days in a row.

MISTERGEE 08-14-2010 07:45 AM

Steve, we lose our share of photos so its nice to get some to go your way, keep up the great work. Hope to see you before Travers. hope by then you have many more pic 4's under your belt and in your wallet

tanner12oz 08-14-2010 06:31 PM

lol i hit the exacta in the first face for 46 bucks thanks to steve then i went home....i figured walk away with an easy 50 bucks rather then take the risk with the pick 4 o well...
