Christine Daae
Very sharp 3-year-old filly for Frenchie Cobra Venom today. Bet off the board today after a nondescript debut six months ago at HOL, went on to win by 8 or 9 in 1:21.67. One worth keeping an eye on.

I demand to know why this horse was 6-1 ML and we didn't get the RHT 10,000,000,000 star lock given her sire, the incomparable Giant's Causeway.

This was a disgrace. Shameful. She was obviously live and everyone at the track knew it or she would not have been bet to 7-2. But she looked wicked. |

I think BWS is joking (?). At least I hope so. . .

Forgot about that thread. Oh that BWS. Should've included some complaining about how many people there were in the winner's circle.

But to clarify, yes, definitely joking. |

Speaking of Gulfstream...anyone find some light payoffs today?
Races 2-4 winners paid $28.40, $5.20, and $28.40 $2 pick 3 paid $647.60, but the $2 parlay was at $1,022.40? |

And I'd imagine you got much closer to the 6-1 morning line on Fire Chief in the pick-3 than the 13-1 win pool odds. |

I figured as much, I just didn't bother looking at the ML odds for the races. I was just scanning results is all and it looked a little light. |

kev pick 3 and win pools are seperate there is no corelation between them |
The mother of this horse was an absolute beast when she was on her game. I suppose few will remember her because she raced in the seeming racing dark ages that was the early 2000's... and was so fragile that she never raced long enough to accomplish anything.
She won the 2nd start of her career in alw race at Saratoga by 11 lengths with a triple digit Beyer going 1st time Asmussen. |

Why the hate for Battaglia?
I almost never watch races from that track, but he doesn't seem that awful to me the few times I've heard him. |

Weird.
The only use I have for callers is to figure out where the horses I'm following in the race are placed, early in the race. From there I can, for the most part, follow what I need visually. I usually end up not even noticing the call as anything more than a buzz in my ear. |
is this horse named from phantom of the opera character?? and no, i am not gay!

You couldn't see it as she romped away from the field, but there is a good reason why Christine Daae was named for the young woman who became the obsession of the Phantom of the Opera. Trainer Patrick Biancone explained. Let me tell you why, Biancone said. She is a chestnut, OK? But on the left side of her face, she has a big white mark, like a mask. I called my owners and I said, Listen, she has a mask, like the Phantom. We cannot call her Phantom, because that's not right for a filly, but Christine Daae is a beautiful girl from the Phantom of the Opera, so we should try that. |
thanks for the info. i knew i heard that name before, in my past..

And some are pretty lame, I guess. But how is Les Miserables or even Evita 'gay'? They are pretty good political commentaries, if anything. |
