I think I would rate that film one of the best for me, even though I had a really hard time sitting through it because the Officer really scared me. :o

Juno is the only one I watched and even so much as heard of.

It's like if Pitchfork Media reviewed movies...

i see this one on a lot of top ten lists. i just don't get it.

it's probably the least depressing german film of the decade but that's like the most intelligent timm post or least funny pants.

In my opinion, it had one of the best endings in a movie.

MaTH716 12-31-2009 08:41 AM

I really don't go to or watch a lot of movies, but I really thought that The Wrestler was excellent.

I don't have time to do my top ten list right now but gotta say... The Hurt Locker was the absolutely the best film I saw this year. :tro:

2MinsToPost 12-31-2009 11:56 AM

Gran Torino is near the top of my list for sure

Antitrust32 12-31-2009 12:29 PM

Watchmen was good. So was 7 pounds.

Superbad was really funny.

Didn't 7 pounds end with the characters' suicide......that would kinda rule that
one out for me!

5 stars in my Netflx movies I've rated:

Gladiator
Fellowship of the Ring
The Two Towers
Return of the King
Office Space
Old School
Van Wilder
Pan's Labyrinth
Wedding Crashers

4 stars:

American Gangster
Batman Begins
Best in Show
Blow
City of God
Dark Knight
The Departed
Downfall
Memento
Napolean Dynamite
The Patriot
The Pianist
The Prestige
Role Models
Sideways
Shrek
Slumdog Millionaire
Snatch
Team America
We Were Soldiers
The Wrestler

OK, so that is a hell of a lot more than 10. So I'll take a stand and say every movie I didn't mention from this decade sucked. :)

Totally agree. Thought it was utterly mediocre. 'The Conversation' did it better 25 years earlier.

Yeah if we take that outlook on people then you would fall under the "get caught sucking strange cock at a truck stop" category being a hardcore republican and whatnot.

Loved Blood Diamond and Seven Pounds. Probably my 2 favorites of the decade. Juno, American Gangster and Blow were all pretty awesome. Sideways was great and Office Space was probably my favorite comedy.

I liked the Hangover but it could have been better if the story was told in real time and I thought the characters tried a bit too hard to be funny and overdid it. Certainly not as funny as Road Trip.

I liked the Departed but it was a total copycat of Goodfellas and didnt do that movie justice.

blackthroatedwind 01-02-2010 04:56 PM

Amores Perros.

The Hangover was a lot better then Road Trip IMO. Blood Diamond was decent at best, Dicaprio carries it. Im the biggest Will Smith fan in the world, I still love to watch Fresh Prince, but Seven Pounds was HORRIBLE. American Gangster and Blow are both very good, The Departed IS GREAT. I like 300, I thought that was really good. No Country For Old Men is good, Dark Knight was amazing IMO.

300 was neat with the way they filmed it and it was great to see so many hardbodies with their shirts off. :D

You probably dont appreciate Goodfellas as much as you should if you think the Departed was "GREAT". It was a good movie, entertaining to watch but very unoriginal and predictable. Have you ever seen Goodfellas?

Seven Pounds is a love it or hate it movie. Not surprised you didnt like it. A lot of people dont.

I had a lot of expectations when I rented Hangover. From what I heard it was the funniest movie in a long time, and while I enjoyed it, I thought it could have been a lot better. The scenes with the asian guys werent funny at all and how do you not have the main character (the guy getting married) more a part of the movie? He had what, maybe 10 minutes of screen time? Road Trip killed this movie. Not even close.

I own Goodfellas and watch it all the time, I love the old school movies. I like Goodfellas and Casino the most.

I was pretty excited when I heard they were doing a movie about the Spartans and the defense of Thermopolye.

They ruined it as bad as you can possibly ruin something.

I realize the Spartans were enthusiastic poop chute stabbers ... but come the F on ... all that not so latent homosexuality was very uncalled for.

Even Spence has to agree that the movie was WAY too gay.
