shills and lemmings caught in the net...on the net!;)

Riot 11-27-2009 10:48 AM

You really believe that because one lead scientist at CRU in UK adjusted figures to show that over the past hundred years, New Zealands' temp hasn't risen, it's stayed the same - that one act discredits the rest of the entire work of the world's scientific community over the past 50 years on the same subject?

:D

The shills and lemmings are those who have mean understanding of the subject at hand, yet continue shrilling away at their straw men. Fortunately, the opinion of one unnamed journalist at a Rupert Murdock's newspaper doesn't have much influence on the scientific community. Just as the knowledge of climate change throughout the world doesn't wax and wane dependent upon who happens to be the current President of the United States of America.

There is a reason this "story" is only being flogged by people with particular political views, to a generally scientifically-uneducated general public, along political story lines. And it's not because it's a great hidden conspiracy.

Even the scientific community - who were the ones betrayed, NOT the general public - have already moved past it.

Many, Many scientists of repute and several countries have ridiculed the Global warming BS since the start. It's a perfect example of people driven by an ideology. You could use the same thing for Big Pharma. I'm sure RM didn't push this story...it has a life of its' own around the world. Nice to see you've picked up Brians' straw man arguement, lol.

So if a handful of Sasquatch sightings have been proven fraudulent, Sasquatch still exists because other sightings haven't been proven fraudulent yet?

Little green men? Notice how all the E.T. abductions are by male aliens? Doesn't anyone ever get abducted by female aliens? Maybe the female aliens are all barefoot and pregnant on the home planet without equal rights.

The bath tub analogy works for the economy as well. The Gov. can't keep spending money faster than they can drain it away from the Taxpayer.

Wish someone had told George Bush II that, before he sunk us back into massive debt.

Were you cheering Bush on? If that debt was massive what do you call Obama's debt? He isn't even adding in the Obamacare Debt yet.

I was cheering until I learned there really were no weapons of mass destruction, he hadn't figured out how to pay for the wars, and he took Clinton's massive budget deficit paydowns (we would have been out of debt by the end of Bush's first term had he simply continued it) and increased it greater than any President in our previous history. Bush really screwed us debt-wise, but that's the GOP legacy when you look back at the last 40 years or so. Obama isn't even close.

There's lot of charts available on that, just google USA debt chart, here's one:

You are really going to sh!t yourself when you find out there really is no Global Warming!

SOREHOOF 11-30-2009 03:36 PM

Obama didn't push the Stimulus or Omnibus pork filled spending bills to the tune of about a trillion and a half?

Yes, I have. Do you know, to date, how much debt has actually been added? Put into existence? And what is carryover from programs from last year, and what is new?

SOREHOOF 11-30-2009 03:39 PM

It's already been proven beyond any doubt that global warming is ongoing right now.

The only question is man's contribution to it, and can man attenuate it before we're truely screwed.

Your amount is off regarding what can be placed in Obama's lap. See what the debt was January 2009, and see what the current administration has actually added (not continuations of previously-implemented programs).

SOREHOOF 11-30-2009 03:58 PM

Obama voted against the TARP as a Senator? I thought you were for massive deficits anyway.

I was just adding up the Stimulus and Omnibus spending bills. About 800 billion apeice. Cap and trade and healthcare will add considerably to that.

SOREHOOF 11-30-2009 04:03 PM

I'm sure they will call Debt something else and POOF it will be gone. Just like Terrorism.

so did it solve the pending ice age that the 'majority' of the scientific community agreed on during the 1970's or not? We need to celebrate not worry!

SOREHOOF 11-30-2009 07:22 PM

Warming would be a lot easier to adapt to than the coming ice age.

"They" predicted a few years of far colder than normal weather back in the 1890's, too! Thank goodness science has advanced in leaps and bounds, especially in the last 30 years, hum? :tro:
