I personally can't tell who is American, and who isn't, from last names. Quote:
I am American, and I love hearing and singing God Bless America, and I love this country, but if I want to get up and move either during the Star Spangled Banner or God Bless America (which I would never do, btw), nobody - especially the police - has a right to physically restrain me. If that is what happened, I agree w/Bob, I hope he gets millions. Drunk and disorderly during the playing of God Bless America would personally piss me off far more than the usual drunk and disorderly, certainly. Either one is cause for ejection, but God Bless America has nothing to do with it. |
Why would God bless America, any more than each and every other country on this planet?
I don't see why God would play favorites with His children |

you're just being silly. obviously god is on our side. i mean, he even posts here. |

 yes, we all sing the right songs, wear the right lapel pins...that way we're sure to win. you can't force beliefs in god on everyone just because of 9-11. i hated that we got attacked, and people got killed. doesn't mean i suddenly feel the desire to sing god bless america. i thought we were the land of the free? doesn't that mean freedom from singing a song? i get offended when folks talk during the national anthem-but i'm not about to demand they be arrested for poor form. |

While I personally believe in being respectful when our national songs are being played (It bothers me when people dont take their hat off and stand up for the national anthem).
But I hope this guy gets millions... just so the damn yankees have to pay out. |

now I hope this guy don't just get a beating but the eyes popping out kind of beating. He can get up and that is his right and someone else can donkey punch his as$. After all if no one sees a tree fall etc. LOL Only in America can you forsake God and expect millions of dollars and some people will actually support you.

And, there is also this: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/09/obama.vets/ |

awesome a back door for the Obama socialist regime to follow 'their' potential terrorists. Forget Ortega, Chavez, Kim Jong Il and Castro its our vets to be worried about!!!!! Oh and those Caribean dancers so close to each other. AMAZING. ![]() |
The report in question does not call returning veterans potential terrorists. The report is public. Anyone can read the original for themselves.
Certainly helps showcase the veracity and reliability of certain media outlets. And how some people will believe anything they are told. |

Enough said....... and now with Obama maintaining electronic medical records these potential terrorists can be watched closely. So Obama and Co. can enjoy the amazing caribean dancers. I think if Sadam was still alive he and Obama could have been B/F's. http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009...ing-extremism/ |

The report, which as Riot said, you can actually read for yourself does not do any such thing. It points out, which Napolitano has repeated ad nauseum since this report came out, that returning veterans are attractive to rightwing extremists because they possess certain skills and capabilities from their time in the military and are therefore one of the groups of people that the extremist groups will target for recruitment. This is actually not much "news" to anyone, at all. Quite obvious really, so not quite sure why everyone's up in arms...oh wait, it was an opportunity for fake outrage involving the word 'veterans,' so of course you guys can't pass it up. It also says that there is data to show that some disgruntled vets joined white supremacist groups upon returning from war. It does not say watch out all veterans are going to kill you and are likely to be terrorists, which is what you, Michelle Malkin, every other wingnut with a grudge would have us believe. But you'd probably have to read it with an open mind to know that, and I may be asking a lot there. Intellectual honesty is in short supply on the right these days. |
Quote:
LOL. News outlet slanting is the original problem. Napolitano didn't say the latter, italicized part! The report on domestic terrorism actually says (if one would read it themselves) that right-wing groups are becoming more active, and that returning vets that do not assimilate well back into society could be targeted by these domestic terrorist groups for recruitment due to their knowledge and skills. Is the above calling returning vets terrorists? Obviously not. But in the blatherings of a very few right-wing editorial ultra-cons lacking reading comprehension, they read that differently, and they started the silly "the report calls our vets terrorists!" nonsense. The actual content also apparently doesn't matter to the lazier media outlets that picked up those ultra-con accusations, then keep repeating them. Rather than reading the report themselves and presenting what it says factually. That would be so ... boring, to present the truth. Maybe someone should give these anti-American folks, those that lie about our government, and repeatedly attack and disrepect our government and our President, an "American spanking"! |

The Federal Bureau of Investigation earlier this year launched a nationwide operation targeting white supremacists and "militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups," including a focus on veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, according to memos sent from bureau headquarters to field offices.
Nothing like a warm welcome to returning troops. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123992665198727459.html |
