Worst team ever to make the NFL playoffs

I think....hands down, the Arizona Cardinals

Most likely will be undefeated in the NFC West (which isn't saying much) and 3-7 against everybody else.

Out in the first round of playoffs

Stickhorse 12-23-2008 06:08 PM

Arizona has been catching so much crap this week they should be a great bet on Sunday as they host Seattle.

Bet them now because the line is -6 and I predict it'll go to -7

Danzig 12-23-2008 06:48 PM

whoever wins the afc west.

ninetoone 12-23-2008 08:13 PM

The 1982 Cleveland Browns.

That gets an * because it was a strike shorten season.

No asterisk. That means you'd have to put one by a couple of Redskins Superbowls also, & that's not gonna happen. :)

hoovesupsideyourhead 12-23-2008 08:45 PM

96 vikes...

The Bid 12-24-2008 08:03 AM

Lay off the Browns we've suffered enough with this years team to get a bye on this question

BTW...

imo Aikman is a heck of a good announcer...
especially for an ex Cowboy.

Much closer than the score indicates.
Definitley NOT a snoozer.

Thank you Vince Ferragamo wherever you are.
You got me to one super bowl. And that is
all I will ever have.

As you remember, the Steelers covered late....by a half point I believe.

The Rams were ahead in the 4th quarter.
The Stallworth bomb put them ahead 24-19.

The last touchdown was at the end of the game.
It was a good game.

but the Steel Curtain had gained control of the rams offense until the Steelers O came to life. it was an entertaining game.

The Steelers gained close to half of their yardage on two great plays by
Stallworth and Swan (what about 75 yards and 50 yard passes)... imagine that, the Cowboy killers deal the Rams death.
The Rams D shut Pittsburg's running game down. And the Rams moved the ball much better than anyone expected. The halfback pass by McCutcheon
was a great call.

If one bet that game on the Steelers and covered consider it a gift from God.

I have not heard and announcer this year
better than Aikman. It certainly is not Phil Simms.
So maybe he is bad but relatively good.

ninetoone 01-19-2009 04:17 PM

I am a lifelong Cowboys hater, but I gotta say that Aikman is a damn good announcer. And he was a decent QB too I guess :)

Co-sign. Although yesterday, it seemed personal with Donny Mac.

dylbert 01-19-2009 10:18 PM

Aikman led three Super Bowl winning teams. That's more than Jaws, Cunningham and McNabb combined - and I wasn't math major!

YOU couldve led those teams to SB wins.

Me, antitrust or danzig could have at least gotten those teams to the playoffs.

Between Matt's post in the Eagles thread and this one, I got my fill of laughter for the night. I'm halfway recovered I think. :o

I'm not far from that. I tend to hit the mute button more and more these days. Mute the sporting event and keep the sound up on my computer watching horse racing.

You underestimate my arm strength... I would have led them to 5 superbowls.

Eventhough I would have never played for the Cowgirls to begin with!!

I think he describes very interesting points
about plays that are being run and why. Very good
at explaining offensive planning.

Who do you think is better... presently?

Moose Johnston, Steve Tasker, Dan Dierdorf, um.. I can't remember announcers at all. I don't usually notice them unless they suck, and I think Aikman sucks.

Two of those you mentioned suck.
I notice them.

Dierdorf is absolutely awful imho.
Johnston is constantly referring the Moooooose call.
Every damn game.

Tasker... dont remember so I guess that makes him good.

herbstreit does a good job. i CAN"T stand musberger. nance is terrible too. he belongs back in the studio, simms is ok, might be better with another sidekick.

just don't have much respect for guys who spend more time on their hair than i do...and the holding the sharpie thing..and the day they called the usc/penn state rose bowl---well, i don't see how kirk said a word, he seemed to have pete carrolls junk in his mouth the whole game. i'm like ateam, in that i don't know most announcers' names-they're the ones who get we are tuning in to watch the game, not listen to them; that it's not about them.
