The results are official. If you watched the races at Aqueduct today you know what I'm talking about.

No, it was blatantly obvious.....especially to you. |
was it the 10 in the 6th
|
My guess is Eddie Castro
|
Eddie Castro isn't exactly setting the place on fire but this one was Guiness Book material. A horse that finished off the board and should have won easily.
No, I didn't bet it. |
Cant be worse than Kent D's ride on Pioneer of the Nile in the Breeders Futrity at Kee.
|
Cant be worse than Kent Dedumbeaux's ride on Kiss The Queen yesterday. Dumb fool
|
You guys disappoint me. You're way too caught up with watching only the horses you bet.
|
Actually, I was out all day and didn't watch the races. Got as far as the 5th in watching the replays, and I don't need to go any further.
Robbie Davis' cute baby girl, doing her let's-see-if-I-can-collapse-the-race-cause-I'm-in-a-hurry best. |
Cornholio's hatchet job on Oh So Irish was larceny

Pretty amazing stuff. I thought she showed some promise. Hopefully she will learn from that. People think they know bad rides, and bring up amateur nonsense, but this one ( as you pointed out ) was All-Star bad. What irks me more than her insane premature move, was that it showed a complete lack of pre-race understanding of the race. |
Shane Sellers ride on Mambo In Seattle in the Travers.

I Agree
That was the worst ride I've seen in a very long time.
the horse outbreaks the field by two lengths and she reels him in to rush up the rail after the two she let go past her. into a very fast pace and she was on the best part of the track to begin with. its going to be a long winter in nyc w/ the bugs riding now, they better grow up fast |
Some of the rides I saw of the Stud Art Chick (at Calder ) had premature moves too, but (unlike in this situation) it wasn't into a pace this fast(and Stud Art is pretty good at keeping a horse running.)

Can't the jock tell by how much wind is whistling between their ears?
the best place to throw a race is on the backstretch. |
Wow, that was bad.
|
Albarado may have topped worst ride of the year today at CHD in the 7th aboard orangespangledgator. What a disgraceful ride that was
|
Orang
Although the predominant wind, here, generally blows into the jockeys' face. And given that ubiquitous, strongly opinionated, "watch the replay" witch doctors, hawking thirty day old news, abound, we'll go out on a limb and predict no competent capper shares your view. Call it a professional ride by a professional boy!

I can barely take it
If thats a professional ride where can I find an amatuer? That was a brutal ride in a short field, he embarrassed himself. I watched in amazement as Julien undressed him. Pathetic to say the very least. Julien could have forced the Maker charge up along side but he was smarter than Albarado, which is no surprise. Hes a better rider, and the better rider won the race on a lesser horse. |

Phil go watch the replay of Albarado making a fool of himself. Getting the best horse beat in a 4 horse heat, it was pathetic. All you can do is play the best horses, when I get rides like that it makes me scratch my head.

Pass it around. WTF? Can anyone say pretentious? |
I cant bare to watch the replay of the Albarado butcher job again
|
Quote:
funny tho, the attempt at sounding rah-ther educated...yet failing to write a complete sentence to start the post. |
Quote:
It was hardly an all-time butcher job but it was a poor ride on a horse that probably should have won. After breaking a little slow there was no real reason to rush up. However, you could argue that if he hadn't, the eventual winner would have gotten away with an easy trip, and still won. You are talking about a 6:5 shot in a four horse field. Surely there will be more expensive and tougher beats in the future. |

Tossing aside for a second how ridiculous this post is ( there are easier ways to make a point ) it shows you either just need to disagree or don't really understand the situation. The simple fact is the horse broke a little slowly and the rider panicked and overaggressively rushed the horse up. Did it definitely cost him the race? Not sure.....but it wasn't a particularly clever ride. Why don't you break out of your usual hit and run tactics, as well as your needlessly pretentious posting, and have an actual discussion about why you specifically disagree. |
The only way Albarado can lose that race is to ride that horse like that. He cannot lose if he just sits and waits. That Maker horse cannot outrun the horse he was on, he did everything wrong. From the paddock, to the post, to the rushjob, to the finish. He did nothing right in that race except get off the horse after it was over.

Very well.
"orang" off slowly was moved outside to keep his face clean, moved past a pair with one fighting the rider and the other fighting the track, while well in hand. Then through EXTREMELY soft splits engaged the leader and put that one away without being asked, changed leads on cue when the rider moved his hands and came to the pole clear. The rider then threw a cross and deftly windmilled the stick with the colt responding well, before having to tattoo righthanded when "Orang" ran out of training approaching the small pole. Here the rider adroitly switched hands and hit toward the danger but the final furlong was run in race horse time and the seven month layoff and weak workout pattern took its toll. bbb |
that can't be right BBB. no way these jocks are capable of being both deft and adroit.
