Can somebody please post the video of what he said about Woman trainers. It's classic. Just put it on youtube, or another place like it. I'll do it if you email me it.

i found it amusing when he talked about how top trainers don't ship out weeks ahead-a not so subtle knock on asmussens approach to the bc with curlin...but no one said much about that. i guess everyone has gotten used to him being an *******, so no one pays attention.

Was a piece about Pitts/Gaines. Basically that they shouldn't be training horses.

Meanwhile Gaines is about as good a horse(wo)man in the world...

He said that he learned by watching the Whittinghams and the Frankels of the world and there is nothing a woman trainer could show him or he would want to see......

IMO any owner that does business with this guy is a bigger idiot than he is.

misses out on the attention Big brown would give him in the Breeder's Cup so he gets it by being a jerk

Yeah, that's why I wanted the video(to get the quote exactly right.) From my memory, he said ....He couldn't think of a single thing he could learn from a woman horse trainer.

I'm sure he will be hearing from Gloria Allred :D

I dont like the guy and he yaps alot, but he was just saying something that is a belief that is out there, especially with some old school guys.

People think a lot of stuff that they don't say. Why would he give the press something like this gem? Is he stupid , or just wants attention ? Seems like this guy is looking for attention, and any attention seems to be good attention. Like if people know who he is then that's all that matters.

yeah, when it took so long to upload, i figured i should have just cut to the chase..but also knew that not everyone saw the segment, and might want to view it all.

I love it this is great, after Dutrow Comments about women in the Shedrow Kip Deville gets beat by a filly.:D

I know Carla Gaines and Helen Pitts are in different areas so that's one difference but for the sake of just treating them as two good trainers and not just two good female trainers, how are they different and is one better than the other in any area?

It's the right way to do it, because people can see the context.

i had never uploaded a video before, was surprised it took that long. but it was no problem.

I guess it's Big Brown's turn to get beaten by a girl. Zenyatta's gonna vault over him for HOY and quite likely over Curlin too. That Dutrow is something else.

i'm not so sure she'll get it honestly. altho she ran a great campaign all year, this isn't the same type year azeri had, where there was no clear cut top horse all year in the male division. several horses, such as street cry had their moments, but most of the top horses were done for the year really before the second half started. that combined with an upstart winning the classic is what contributed to azeri getting the nod. but unlike that year, curlin and big brown both ran well all year long-with brown only having one loss, and curlin now with two. but their losses are explainable...
now, if she gets it, you can't say she doesn't really deserve it. but i don't think it's a given.
