Todays works

Rampillion 102 galloped out in 116
Aldebutante going at 8:30

edited to delete the lines of rhyme

with benefit of hindsight 49&2 works just fine

Kasept 10-16-2008 09:10 AM

Was on phone with Chuck as Aldeb worked...

Chuck predicted the half and gallop out times exactly without watch.. :49.2 half breezing without urging from Cherie, and out in 1:03+.

More from Chuck later I'm sure, but he said she went very well and Cherie said she's striding out better than she ever has. Likely two more works before a Churchill start around second week of November...

He was also really happy with how Rampillion exited her work. She gets better and better and is going to be a fun horse for us to own...

Payson Dave 10-16-2008 09:20 AM

good good...I'm guessing that she was by herself... not working in company....2/10 to work... the bullet was 48.20

Cannon Shell 10-16-2008 09:51 AM

Very nice work for Aldebutante. Did it the right way and seemed well within herself throughout. She galloped out nicely and was not that winded afterwards. Her weight is good and she continues to mature physically and mentally. As Steve said before Cherie thinks that Aldeb is striding out better and is doing really well.

Not tired at all actually worked in company. She was a bit rank in the begining (actually first about the first 1/4 of a mile) at the eighth pole looked like company was going to pass her (rider was whipping and driving, joe had no whip) she dug in a drew clear of it. Came back cooled out quickly, scoped fine, ready to roll. We put Joe on for a second opinion (whether to run or not) he said she definately ready to get back at it. Couldn't have went any better.

The fillies I ride are already moody bitches, thats why i ride them, takes one to know one. Thats how I get along with them, just put myself in their mind set, which isn't very hard. I am perfectly fine with the fact that i am a moody bitch.

1:02 is 110%

I know ~ time only matters when you're doing it.

The time doesn't matter at all in this work. She was working in company with a horse that was going his first half so they started off together Rampillion about a length behind the other horse and at the 1/8th pole and drew off willingly.

I'd give $100 to watch Cherie kick your ass:$: :$: And don't act like she couldn't do it.

I'd guess there's a lot of people that would be interested in paying Cherie to "show them some whip manuevers"..

I hope you're not talking about Derby week when you nearly got her killed by waving a whip over your head and spooking the horse she was on.

The first part is correct though, she would destroy you.

No, first Sunday in October I was down there and I was talking with her and Ryan and I found a whip and I started playing with it, and she was throwing me some knowledge, on how jocks change sticks and or change position within hands (two finger TECHNIQUE). And me having such extreme athletic ability, I caught on quickly.
